How did this happen?? (TRotGP support objectives)

After my first experience with Node 1.2 and the land supports not counting at all I went to the Bugs and Technical Issues forum and lo and behold NEITHER "Support" objective for 1.2 or 2.2 is working.

What update or bug fix or change caused this? Was it something that happened when someone went in to adjust the awards?

Certainly hope someone is still around (because of course, @Brigby is out as of today and everyone else is out as of tomorrow :disappointed:  ) to at least look at this....

Or, is this just the token "bug for the time while everyone is out"? Because I seem to recall that every other time whether it's been a holiday or everyone going to some convention that an event is left with a bug in it that can't be resolved till much later.

Just saying.. Kinda disappointed..

In the end, this just means there’s two fewer objectives to worry about (and therefore it’s easier to get a “perfect” score).

I mean, they weren't exactly difficult objectives anyway.  But yes, it is technically easier now.

I'm just worried as to how this happened.  Supposedly the reason we keep getting HoD and RoTGP is because all of Oktagon's events are too buggy to run.  If somehow the events that they didn't design are bugged too, that is very very bad.

That's referring to a statement Brigby made a while ago in a slightly different context, with the note that it's not an official statement, but what he thinks might be the reason for the repetition of legacy events without standard events in-between. We never have heard anything official about the reason why Oktagon doesn't want to make new coalition events or why they keep on repeating the same Hinernum events over and over - as far as I know.

They managed to break an event that go on since aeons. Make it easier but not really great work.

Btw. There is an objective 'cast 3 creatures 12+ mana' (think node 2.1) and it is counting starlite awaken for that. Also not very exact.

Maybe RotGP has been played so much that it's evolving and becoming sentient.  First it's a few objectives not working. Next you'll see RotGP nodes showing up in other events, then eventually our decklists will be replaced by theirs. Beware!

Look in your in-game mailbox now.
    Bog Humbugs have arrived.

    Perhaps this is pun intended?

Hi Everyone. The team is aware of the objectives issues, and they're already looking into fixes for them. We are currently evaluating what steps to take following this. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

While it is important to figure out how to fix this, I'd be more concerned about how it happened in the first place.  These weren't bugs with a new event, this was a bug affecting 2 year old events.  That's terrifying.

Not running this event in the near future sounds like the best step to take right now. Then, do the same with HoD. Ultimately, we'll just need some fresh events :)

Though I do not want to have RotGP and HOD events back in a long while, this bug has been present in every event old or new event played after the last release (every Dominaria Through history events had it AWR also had it).

So I think every single event counting supporst of any kind , just now sagas and earth in TSTC, will suffer of it.
