PVP nodes disappearing?

I'm not sure where to post this, so I'm putting it on here since it's sort of a gameplay question. I was playing the Heavy Metal event as always, and after a few rounds I noticed the desert node was disabled(as shown in the first screenshot in the link below). I though maybe they introduced a new limit or something for playing the same environment node over and over again(I have a habit of almost always playing the bottom right node, so yeah), so I just shrugged and moved onto the other nodes- however, the second one I played behaved the same way and disappeared and after I played the match on my last left node the screen stopped in a laggy manner for a few seconds and the whole event button got disabled(second screenshot). I can't do anything to restore it or at least confirm that the event was somehow ended/disabled for me. Why is this happening

Edit: never mind, I just checked and it came back on. I'd still like to know why that happened, it kept me unable to play for almost an hour and dropped my rank quite a bit.

Oh, so that's why. I was frankly a bit scared- The internet connection where I live actually has been bugging me lately, maybe I should get that checked. Thanks!

seen it before usually just lag, closing and reopening the ap usually fixes it, and this should have been posted in the bugs and technical issues section.

Hehe, I know, the new bracket system is actually working for me- I'm ranking much higher than when I used to be in the same bracket with top players in the old first some first serve basis. The problem is I'm a casual, F2P player who's quite busy and never really go much further than that...
