daken 3* or punisher?

I was going to spend some HP on covers, is the new daken worth using normally? I assume he will be buffed in an event soon so was considering buying more covers for him assuming we every actually get the rewards from oscorp that should be 3 of them right there. the other option is punisher, which might be better in the long term, remember this will be my only 3 star so it needs to be good when paired with a 2 star, which I assume both of these should be good with OBW because of the strike tiles being so good with espionage.

Daken should be better on defense. Maybe also on offense depends on the amount of covers you want to get.

How many covers do you have in punisher and how much do you want to spend. To get the best advice screenshots of your roster would be good.

4 in punisher, and if I get the daken covers in then 3 for daken, I have enough for 7 covers after we get in the HP from oscorp, and I assume daken will be a reward somewhat soon so I can finish him off from that but who knows when the next time we will get punisher is.

I have most of the important 2 stars maxed, 3 away on ares but the rest are there. next closest 3 star I have to completion is hulk with 6 covers and another coming in a few days from daily rewards. Don't have 3 colors on any other 3 star so couldn't buy the covers for any others. and even if I could I don't have enough iso to max more than 1.

although daken 3 star and OBW cover the same colors which means I'd have to pair him with someone else, and the healing from OBW is so useful I think I might just go with punisher.

Regeration on Daken is better than OBW healing on defense.

You can play Daken and OBW. I think Punisher is worse than Daken for the first max 3 star just because he is so much more squishy. To get those 3star covers in pvp you need a good defensive lineup. Daken should be the biggest deterrent and also a lot of fun to play with.

There should also be at least two events one pve and one pvp which give out more daken covers. so i would recommend Daken for sure.

Daken Ares or until you have Ares maxed Daken Thor should be a really good defensive and offensive line up.

But in the end it is your decision.

I probably will go with daken because of the upcoming events probably featuring him and maybe rewarding him. just need the covers to actually be awarded now, is there a general consensus on what the build is going to be for him yet?

I would guess 5/3/5 although 7% regeneration is huge 7k hp so it is 490 or 350 hp per round.

Chemical Reaction - Blue 5 AP
Daken springs a trap, but his addiction to "Heat" threatens to push him over the edge. Damages the target for 99, converts two blue tiles to green, and converts up to 2 friendly strike tiles to basic tiles doing 50 damage per strike tile converted.
Level Upgrades
Level 2: Increases cleared strike tile damage to 58.
Level 3: ???

Level 5: ???
Max Level: 602 base damage, 421 per strike tile, up to 4.

If you can decide which tiles to convert to green it should be really good. The only activateable ability should probably be maxed and two strike tiles per green match is also mandantory I would say. It means match two green match two blue or a blue match 5, deal 2286 dmg for 5 blue and use the 6 green with ares to deal another 1,2k.

So maybe save your HPs a bit and first stack him up to 3/2/3 in the pve you could get three covers, in the pvp 3 and in the pvp that features him afterwards one for 1.1k

Not sure on the 3/2/3 maybe someone else can weigh in on the optimal amount of covers there.

honestly don't know if my roster is capable of getting top 10 or 1100 points to earn the 4 covers that will be available in pvp, I will definately be trying for top 50 though to get at least 1 cover from that and hopefully 1 from alliance. between those that should get me 12 covers, I will try for that 1100 progression reward with him which will hopefully be easier since he should be the featured character in that event.

Exactly buffed level ~200 daken, OBW and Thor should be crazy good. Good enough for 1.1k I'd say. The question is which cover the 1.1k reward will be. If it is black you could already be at 3 covers. Is there a general rule which cover is the 1.1k reward?

I think it's normally the cover you got for top 10 in previous event but not sure. but either way, i won't be using him in the event where you earn the covers so I won't spend the HP until they release the event with him featured so I can see which one it is that is the 1100 so I don't buy covers I can earn.

well apparently you get the purple one since his event is up now. now i dont know what i would do in your position. probably grind hard and try to get to 1100 with the 2stars. which is going to be really hard, basically impossible without buying up to at least 3/2/3 or 3/2/4

I don't think Daken beats Punisher without having a max yellow Falcon on his side.

Healing & Heat is not worth investing 5 in as long as blue remains the most broken color. There's no way your opponent won't be trying to gobble up all the blue tiles as soon as possible given all the crazy things that can be done with blue skills at the moment.

bumped him up to 3/2/3 for now, that puts him to 77 which is over 100 in the event so that should help alot.
