Unable to use PW abilities

Since the update I had multiple occasions where I could not use my PW's ability, sometimes only the first does not trigger but the second does. And yes, I checked whether possible prerequisites were fulfilled if the ability had any. Today, it happened with Teferi and Elspeth in Training Grounds and Fateful Showdown.

Teferi's ability won't work if there isn't a valid target.  Elspeth's should always work.  This is rather odd, since none of the fights in Fateful Showdown can lockdown your abilities

@Foznertep Was 'The Immortal Sun' or 'Sorcerous Spyglass' out on the field? Both those cards can prevent an opponent from using their Loyalty abilities.
