Hixus Prison Warden not enabling on destruction. [Solved]

I believe this is an old problem but it is still happening.  If you destroy your opponents Hixus he is supposed to enable all of your creatures, even if another effect is disabling them (like Time of Ice) has them disabled. This is not happening.

I had this happen today:  Hixus had disabled all of my creatures, Time of Ice was also disabling them and was on it's second story. I swapped Hixus and destroyed it but none of my creatures were enabled. Then Time of Ice returned all my creatures to my hand at the start of my opponent's next turn.

I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to work that way.

That's because you exiled it.  It only enables on destruction (exile is not destruction).

I believe that was changed in a previous update (2.9 maybe?) so that cards disabled by Cast Away would stay disabled even after Hixus was destroyed.

Its definitely not right (we argued against the change then too), but it is not a bug.

And here I thought I was being clever by not destroying Hixus until Time of Ice's second story, hoping to enable all my creatures and thwart the "return to owner's hand" effect.  :'(

Wouldn't have thwarted it. Even if you had re-enabled them, the 3rd chapter would still bounce them all, disabled or not.

The change you're talking about is the following, back in 2.7:
    • Creatures are no longer enabled, when Hixus, Prison Warden is Destroyed, while Cast Out is on the gem board in Battle

I have to agree with Mburn7, you guys made a mistake changing Hixus in that way. If anything Hixus needs to be “when this support is exiled or destroyed, enable all creatures”. I just played a match where 3 of my 4 creatures were on the board but disabled by a Hixus support that I could not destroy by gem matching so I exiled it with a spell then the creatures stayed disabled permanently and I wasn’t able to replace them with new creatures, I was only able to reinforce them so I ended up having to try and slowly chip away at the PW with spells which didn’t work because this wasn’t a spell deck.

You guys need to change Hixus. He’s way too powerful for only 6 mana.
