Hi Everyone,

We're still figuring out an efficient way to get the card galleries onto the forum, however in the meantime, please check out the Guilds of Ravnica card set on our Facebook page below:

Why not put the gallery on the D3 site like (almost) all of the other sets?

Razia and Circu are interesting surprises to see in the set considering they're not even in Guilds of Ravnica....

Neither is Argus (I don't think).  Looks like they took some legends out of the Guild Kits instead of the set itself.

Right you are. Second look I'm also seeing a second Niv Mizzet, Savara, Sisters of Stone Death, Szadek, and Tibor and Lumia in the list too. Still usual they are taking cards from supplementary products to put into the set considering they didn't put in things like Niambi for the Dominaria release.

However, on a related note, I do like that they've picked masterpieces that are cards from older Ravnica sets

But no MP looks really shiny.

I would go for IXL MP in current now for swords, but the rest of the EP is much worser that I hoarding for a while.

So, Niv Mizzet Parun... kinda awesome. Kinda scary. Also Chord of Calling. Yeah. Not mad.

Bloodletter Quill looks pretty powerful too, in my opinion.

Two low-rarity gems are Crush Contraband and Justice Strike (welcome back, Inner Struggle!)

Not as mean as I thought, will still ce mean in my decks at least..

If you have to continue this Facebook thingy @brigby (adding my +1 to the first rant about it that'll likely come), could you maybe either make one album per rarity or per subtype? Then it'd be at least somehow sorted

    Might I suggest www.mtgpq.info?

It looks like a lower power set. There's a Surveil deck which builds itself in there.
Not as much as the self-building huatli 2 selesnya deck:

    Trostani
    Crown
    March of multitudes
    Chord of calling
    Divine visitation
    Leader angel m19
    Decree of justice
    Path of exploration
    Flower/flourish
    Selesnya guildgate

Ideally, you also want some removal, but that is just a first draft, and swiftblade+trostani seems absurd!

For me here is the list of cards I want to get my hands on:
Assassin's Trophy (useful in both black and green for dealing with supports, respectively creatures)
Aurelia (her abilities are super relevant, though she reminds me a bit too much of Odric who ended up being quite underpowered, I see the potential in an angels deck)
Beacon Bolt (if this can truly target players then it will go into a spells heavy deck, no question regarding that, both legacy and standard can abuse it!)
Camaraderie (for Elspeth, card draw is nice to have)
Chance for Glory (combo with prevent damage and profit - Huatli dinos would love it)
Chord for Calling (looks like a better Vivien's Invocation, so I can see multiple decks where I could use this)
Concoct (only the most insane single target reanimation spells available in blue too)
Crush Contraband (will deal with Starfield of Nyx like a pro and exiling two supports is much nicer than just one naturally, I like it A LOT)
Discover//Dispersal (super flexible, I could see it being relevant in some blue and black decks)
Divine Visitation (this is AMAZING! I'm looking forward to building token decks in both Standard and Legacy)
Dream Eater (I always liked creatures acting as removal and the surveil 4 will be super super relevant to smoothen future draws)
Hatchery Spider (I see a lot of potential with this little guy... It actually combos with itself quite insanely, except of course you can't really build a deck with 9 spells and only this card... if you did, once you had 13 creatures into your graveyard, it would go infinite instantly)
Justice Strike (not only does red get back their favorite creature removal, but it can also be abused by white decks too now. Elspeth says thank you)
March of the Multitudes (I love it in paper magic, I love it in MTGPQ... now where's my flash on this card?!)
Mausoleum Secrets (you are aware this can combo infinitely once you have at least 7 creatures into the graveyard, which means with GRN Niv or Imminent Doom on the board you win the game...)
Niv-Mizzet Parun (looking forward to trying to break this, naturally, I like him as an 8/8 flying dragon to begin with, so even if I don't use him in combo decks he could still be fun in my regular Koth decks as just a good creature)
Notion Rain (already wrote on facebook why I think this card is insane... Surveil 2 then draw 2 looks just more powerful than draw 4 due to hand size)
Response//Resurgence (another card where flexibility is key, I like it very much for RW decks. either act as removal or turn your already established board into a killing machine)
Sisters of Stone Death (very good card, I like both the removal and the stealing clauses for both black and green...)
Stitch in Time (This card will get BROKEN sooooo fast in legacy, and possibly in standard too)
Thief of Sanity (it's no Etali due to the lack of haste and granting only half mana on the stolen card, but you'll be surprised how much value it will still bring)
Thought Erasure (another very good support pseudo-removal, this time in UB)
Trostani Discordant (do I need to sell my token decks any more?)

    Other fun cards
Crown of Convergence (could see some interesting play in an interesting deck I guess... fetching freebies and getting extra effects from them is never a bad idea)
Devious Cover-Up (looks a bit far fetched but hey, I'd really like to give it a shot, as it looks like a cool card... usually the opponent puts as a first card in hand some pretty good stuff)
Disinformation Campaign (you got tired of all those discard decks? Yeah... try adding this to it)
Emmara (you are aware that if you pop all 3 gems at the same time you get 9 tokens per turn... yeah.... that could get busted. disabling her only keeps her safe)
Enhanced Surveillance (except the fact that I hope it doesn't go infinite, it could be fun in a Surveil dedicated deck with Lazav)
Experimental Frenzy (if this actually combos with Cycling... god... this is going to be stupid)
Firemane Angel (not only do I like the paper magic card, but I actually enjoy the potential it has in some crazy lifegain deck)
Glimpse the Unthinkable (not really a chase masterpiece, but honestly, if you get to HUF into this and exploit Refuse//Cooperate it could end up pretty ridiculous)
Goblin Electromancer (reducing spell costs by 2 could get slightly bonkers in legacy, though I'm still not convinced about him - since he is a creature he clunks your draws)
    Gruesome Menagerie (legacy shenanigans again)
Lazav the Multifarious (read my remark above about surveil decks, but this could be great, if slightly parasitic)
Narcomoeba (just fun for newbies combo-ing it out with Gather the Pack... not sure I could do anything competitive with it though)
Nightveil Predator (another fun card for newer players)
Razia (naturally asks to be broken somehow with small pings to you followed by big fireballs to the opponent... looks like a decent card of course, just not necessarily at that "chase" level to have it on the top list)
Sunforger (just plain interesting masterpiece I'd love to have in my collection and occasionally play)
Take Heart (I so want to combo this off with Sanguine Bonds...)
Thousand-Year Storm (in theory looks quite constricting and nowhere near its combo potential, but I like a challenge... maybe we can break it somehow or at least take great advantage out of it without going infinite or anything...)

You have to wait another 4 rounds to get live back and creatures filled. Not so awesome. StV do ot faster.

I don't know what everbody with stitch in time is. It's a one time effect maximum 3 extra sway. Okay that can be big amount of mana and casting phases, but only once.

I will test it myself... Next week. 🙂
