Surge Mare Buff is permanent

Now this may not technically be a bug (since the card does not state "until end of turn" in the ability text), but I do not understand why the buff would not be permanent.  It isn't in paper and it isn't on pretty much any card that gets a temporary buff in paper.

So is this a bug?  Or just some unexplained arbitrary deviation from paper with no precedent or explanation?

Oh yeah! I noticed that playing against it and then forgot... It kinda changes the value of the card just slightly!

According to my information, this card is currently functioning as intended, and the buff is meant to be permanent.

Can we get a why on that?
I'm not saying it is bad, just very inconsistent with how pretty much every other card with a temporary buff in paper works here in PQ.

The card explicitly doesn't say "until end of turn" when you hit them gem, which is why this behavior can be seen as intentional.

It's not entirely inconsistent when you consider Pyre Hound gets a permanent buff in paper magic but only a temporary one here. They've adjusted the cards according to what works in the game before. Just my thought there, but I don't think a 0/6 that you have to hit an activated gem so it can attack would work well in this game with limited creature spots.
