Rare pool from Journey Through History

Is the rare pool from JTH smaller than normal? This time around, from the collective of all four events, the Bonus Rare pack (1 card) awarded me Aryel, Knight of Windgrace 4 times alone. Over the moderate amount of times this event has run, I have received at least two copies of Aryel per set of four events.

The total number of times I've received this card is somewhere in the mid-teens (13-15 copies of the same card), with no other rare in the set appearing >3 times.

My DOM collection is pretty decent, but I wonder if there is something amiss with the RNG for Bonus Rare packs.

Is this just extremely bad (good) luck? Or has anyone noticed a high duplication rate for the JTH reward?

She's your life partner in another dimension and she's trying to cross over to this reality piece by piece, but the transfer system is broken and MtGPQ keeps turning the parts of her that actually make it into crafting orbs...
Once you finally stop getting copies of her it'll mean that every single ounce of her in the alternate reality has been transformed and transported... and destroyed.

It's like a really horrific transporter accident and the perfect story for Halloween...

A little known fact is that knights of House Windgrace undergo a transformative ritual before they are knighted. As an initiate, they infuse their bones with astral power, as deep and boundless as the cosmos itself. It is this power that allows champions, such as Aryel, to generate hundreds and hundreds of simulacrums, formed of pure stardust itself.

To this end, I have constructed an Aryel-attracting device to harvest this latent power. By dismantling these knights, I hope to eventually populate my gallery with this star power—a Starfield, if you may.

They know what cards do we have, and they give us dupes on purpose. You never get too many new cards, and when u get a mp you get instantly "bad luck" in the next other pulls. Just think about it, if u could fill your collection easily u wouldnt keep any motivation to play the game. Believe me, I know about "bad luck" here. Fortunatelly we have orbs now, but it cannot be exploited too far; and that, i think, is a way to keep a sane game environment.
Anyway something is inelludible: pulls are not 100% random

I don't remember how many times I pulled her, but I pulled aven midscensor 15 times until crafting and amalgam 12 times. Since autotranform I didn't count anymore. But I  sometimes had the "luck" to pull the same mythic or masterpiece from a booster I received many moments before from Elite-Pack. I think I pulled conflux 4 times until now.

Back when Amonkhet was new, I got Channeler Initiate as my rare event reward for every event. It got really old.

Not sure if it applies to the packs we get from the event (it probably does if it's continued) but even within rarities it was found before that some cards of the rarity are programmed to be more common in a pack than others. For example, Goldnight Castigator was a more common mythic pull than Olivia.

It's Panharmonicon for me, I keep getting it as an event reward... got it from Fateful Showdown, again, on this most recent pass.  Really getting sick of seeing it.

Oh man, I missed this thread! I’m completely over aryelled myself. Didn’t count, but feels like 75% of time. I’ve gotten so spooked by this, that I mastered her thinking that might help. Didn’t.

It was Falkenroth Gorger and Reality Smasher for me. I have no idea if anything drops aside from those 2 in their respective events. But Dominara was nice to me. I only got 2 duplicates after the 4th pull. Then all were new. I'm only getting duplicates now that I only am missing 4 rares from that pool

I kinda wish that cards didn't auto convert so I could see how many specific duplicate cards I've collected vs cards I've never collected

Be careful what you wish for. It is pretty disheartening to see that you have gotten a card multiple times while a desired card is not finding its way to your collection.
