November Q&A Session - Question Submission (10/31/18)

Hi Everyone,
Here is where you can submit your questions to Oktagon for the November Q&A Session.
In order to make it easy to collate and compile all questions, we would like to kindly ask all players limit themselves to only one comment with just their top 3 questions they'd like to submit. (Brief explanations are fine, but please no novels) We will then compile a list of the top 10 questions asked by the community, and Oktagon will answer as many of them as they are able to.
We will be closing the submission thread next Wednesday 11/7 at 18:00 PT / 21:00 ET / Thursday 11/8, 02:00 UTC. We will then compile the questions, and send it over to Oktagon for review and answering. Once they have done that, we will format it and prepare it for posting in the forum.

deck slot costs? will there be sales or a reduction in cost. I really think it is essential that there are 2 'free' deck slots per planeswalker since there are 2 formats to allow players to use the same PW in legacy or standard without having to rebuild the deck (even if it is in an event deck slot).We know that you have announced that you will be putting time into planeswalker and card balances, what is your approach to that?are there plans for new event formats such as: Planechase, Commander, sealed/draft and release events?will we ever be able to play against our own or coalition members decks, or rematches?2

1) Will you be communicating with us better in the future? And how will you be doing so? The October Q&A was the first we have heard from the dev team in over a month. That's not great.2) Will you be utilizing the in-game inbox more often? Players shouldn't have to be on the forums to get news updates and bug reports.3) How has your Quality Control department adapted to prevent future sets and patches from becoming a buggy mess?1

1) I understand that for Tamiyo, at the time a 3 color walker was unheard of; however, with 2 Bolas's, Karn, and The Eldrazi Desolation, that limitation should no longer be an issue.. Will we ever see the 3 Planeswalkers that were not added to the game during their respective sets be implemented?

3) Recently there was a sale in the vault for 3 HOU Mythics for $5. Players practically tripped over their wallets to purchase such a lucrative offer. Do you intend to add similar offers in the future?4 -

As we have Halloween as festival event for black/ blue node. We also had Valentine for Red node. Will we have others events for White & Green nodes?1

1. Can you prioritize adding a feature to disable/remove problematic cards so that we don't encounter situations where events need to be cancelled because of bugs?
2. The booster crafting price drop on sets does not seem to follow the rigid schedule detailed in the description we got when it was released. Any chance this could be set in stone so that we can plan around it?
3. What are your plans for holiday sales and/or increased rewards? Last year was really awesome please repeat!2 -
Can you put a turbo mode in the game or 10x 30x or 50x speed option?7

1-) Our latest forum contest leads me to believe that you guys can also track the number of times a card has been used by players. If so, would you consider using that data to improve the weaker mythics and rares that have been underused by the player base?
2-) For reasons known only to hibernum they did not use the right art for the PWs of amonkhet (they used the promo art from the boxes of paper mtg pw decks) The token's art for Desolution Twin is also wrong.
Do you plan to correct that?
3-) Live PvP would be ideal, even though complicated for the game. How about just having the option to play against the decks of certain players, like inviting them to a duel but instead the AI plays their deck? And if so how about giving us an option regarding which cards the AI will prioritize when a player faces our decks?5 -

1. Rules are a big issue in this game. There are lots of inconsistencies (cards with the same wording but different effects and vice versa; the cast /summon /tokens thingy). Could you shine a light on how you approach this topic?2. We know you do QA, but from our perspective, it "doesn't really look like it" (We don't see any bug you catch before the release - we only have to deal with those you don't catch. Basically the incremental issue of any QA). Would you be open to talk about that process?3. Runes. With the next release, all pws developed by Oktagon in one year will overtake those by Hibernum in all the time before. We're talking about more than 6 million runes, not even counting deck slots. We thought your initial bugged duel deck recharge and reward structure would've been you approach to solve the issue.. And it would've been great. Now we learned it was an accident. The rune issue is worse for you than for us - I won't pay cash for a walker if I need to wait until he's available for gold to gather enough runes for some levels anyway8

Can you let us know how many time AI pilot our deck in each individual event?

1. How will you fix the bugs and errors that make us lose games or charges? The leaderboards should not be dictated by being lucky enough to not encounter bugs or errors.
2. How will you fix event end times in a way that everyone can finish all their charges (if they choose to do so), but won't be restricted by the timezone they live in?
3. How will you make the wording on cards, rules and objectives more consistent? If there is consistency, we can apply the ruleset ourselves. The surprise inconsistencies really limit our strategies.3 -
Are you surprised how many new bugs make it into the live deployment compared to how many you fix in the same one? Are you planning on doing anything different with your testing process to help prevent this in future?0

1. Will you ever make an update so we can view our hand while the "do you want to cast this spell" window is open?
2. What're future plans with story mode?
3. Do you have plans to fix the wording on mtgpq cards to reflect the wording in paper mtg. Example: there is a difference between cast/summon and put into play in paper mtg, but it can be ambiguous here.1 -
1) Will you offer more legacy mythic packages like the $5 one that went on sale not long ago?
2) What's going on with updating old planeswalkers?

What is the team's stance on bounce cards? Is the SOP going forward going to be leaving "if your opponent has 5 or less cards in hand" off of bounce cards so they are able to do double duty of bouncing or destroying? Will any older cards be updated in this way (like Harbinger of the Tides)?
