Whatever is easiest for them to do, even though I doubt they will do anything....
BUT, if they WERE to do something, then whatever is easier, pull the card, disable it or make it invisible (which, yeah, is like disabling or pulling, but you can't pick what you can't see, so...).

    I remain pessimistically optimistic... ;)

It needs to be put into therapy for a little while- just while it sorts itself out ;)

Yeah SD needs a time out for a while.

-and- the devs need to fix it.

Just 2 cents: so let's send in-game message so everyone became aware how to troll others?

If no action is taken on SD, the bug will certainly cause numerous bad player experiences in the weekend event.  To what degree depends on how many players choose to use it, but the fact that one of the nodes requires a white deck makes us all more likely to run across it than in most other events.

If it's feasible, I think the card should be pulled or the event changed to PvE, but it's hard to say from this side of the fence whether that's possible in the time remaining.  I'd guess changing the event is actually easier and less risky, since cards being (deliberately) being pulled out has not seemed to be a thing that's been done before.

    Until the next patch,
    Please either,
    1. Temporarily remove the card (if possible), or
    2. Run coalition events as PVE only

I must have a more optimistic outlook. I assume that most people are like me and the people I associate with; not trolls. Perhaps your lived experience is different?

This situation is quite unbearable actually ...

       1) lots of players have already lost many ranks and rewards in events despite playing well and wisely (without any kind of compensation nor excuses on top of that ) ... The bug itself ruins the essence of competitive events ...

       2) The bug is so well-known now that several players are actually exploiting this bug to troll other players score ... they are not guilty though, because if there is still a bug to exploit after several weeks it is because the devs tolerate it instead of acting against it.

From a customer point of view, the main question remains :  why should players invest some money in cards and walkers when the results of a leaderboard are flawed by the team inability to solve long-reported bugs ?

    *Merged similar threads together

Unfortunately at this point in time, we're unable to purposefully "disable" or "turn invisible" an individual card in the game. When it comes to replacing the Race to Orazca event, I will certainly bring up that topic with the team for discussion today.

How hard is it to just push out a fix for one card? If it is really hard to do then they should rethink they way they are doing it. On the subject of getting a standard event this weekend.... think again it’s been changed to Avacyn’s Madness because of this bug.

Thank you for listening to our feedbacks and taking a quick action to replace RtO with AM event.

Unfortunately building apps and pushing them out for both Android and iOS is a big undertaking, they'll have been working on a major branch of the codebase getting ready for Ravnica and while they could probably do a separate branch from the earlier 2.9 release and make just this change, just the release process would still be huge.

To release things quickly you need the code-base set up to do it, things that can be changed just by changing data or completely serverside, like the "changing the calendar" solution they are actually doing.

But every single release Oktagon has done has had some improvements on the way things can be pushed out. M19 moved into Crafting a month after release WITHOUT a buiild, that was the first time that was ever possible, so these things ARE being planned and implemented in the background.

I am absolutely certain they'll be adding a way to ban cards through just data or server changes in the next patch or two because Oktagon are actually working on that stuff and now that this blew up they know how important it is. I have faith because I've been watching all these improvements happening along the way... Yes, there've been a ton of bugs, but improvements too and ones that lay out a path to a good future.

I strongly suspect that, after the next patch, if a card proves so broken again that it WILL be possible to ban it without a new build.

Like I said before: a banned list is a great option to temporarily remove cards from events. Not only for decree, there will be unstable cards in the future too. And if there s such banning option, it much essier too work around touble, as player, dev and forum admin.

But only put really game crasher there, or card that didn't work like intended (e. G. Pre-patch lich mastery)  and remove after fix.
