    Back of the envelope math calculation:

    Rockets season recaps shows roughly 60K players in SCL7-9 PvP. We know PvE has many more players but not exact numbers so lets say 5x so that gives roughly 360K players (even though some are double counted obviously) in SCL 7-9.

    Lets next assume those players average roughly 3 elite/heroic tokens per day. That gives 1080000 tokens per day. At a 5% bonus hero rate that works out to 54000 bonus heroes a day.

    Further assume bonus heroes roughly equally distributed (some favorite strange but some won't once he's max champed and so on) that gives 54000/45 (3* total) = 1200 Stranges per day.

    I think bonus heroes have been around for 2 years so multiply by 730 gives a total of 876000 Strange bonus heroes for SCL 7-9.

    Figure the lower SCL level players (fewer players, less tokens per day) add 20% more to that total so that's another 175200.

    For a grand total of 1051200.

    That seems right because I suspect Strange is the first 3* hero to reach 1 million bonus heroes given his importance.

    We jotted down the number at the time of posting the contest, so that would be the value we are comparing guesses to.
