Etali not always getting card with full mana [Fix in 3.1]

I have a feeling this change for the 7 card max is affecting Etali...
Played in the Story Mode against Nissa and I noticed this behavior..
I have 5 cards in my hand, not 6:
1. Etali attacks, no card appears
2. On my next turn, a card from Nissa's deck appears without ANY mana.
The next turn, I got a card with full mana.
the subsequent turn again, card shows up on next turn without mana, however I only have 3 cards in my hand.
The following turn, again, only 3 cards in my hand, but I get a card from Nissa's hand with full mana.
Edit:
In another story 1:1, Etali attacked, got a card with full mana (only 5 cards in hand at the time)>
AI round, Etali is killed.
NEW Etali played, first attack, no card, next turn drawn card is what I would have gotten from AI but with no mana.

- The player's hand will no longer contain seven or more cards, when activating an ability that moves a card to the player's hand while the player's hand is full.

Oh boy, here we go again.
@Tombstone this sounds like the original Etali bug where if your opponent has a full hand, the card gets placed on top of your deck with no mana instead of in hand with full mana.

Yes, it looks like the bug which was there before. When the opponent's hand is full, Etali steals a card but puts it on top of player's library. The card is drawn in the next turn without any mana.0
-
99 bugs in code... 99 bugs in code. Patch 1 (player no longer under any circumstances can have 7 cards in hand).
127 bugs in the code....4 -
The same for me, first Etali strikes, stole a card without mana, second does not stole anything. The first time I had got 2 cards in hand and the second third. I belive that in the second strike IA had full mana.0

So i cant recall exactly what happened but here goes..
Etali was working fine. No real issues. Then opponent kills my etali (first reborn) and casts his own. I murder my opponents etali during my opponents turn. Start of my turn i draw a card not in my deck with no mana (thran portal or whatever?)
I could not recall if my etali had attacked and not given me a card or if somehow my opponents etali triggered (although it was murdered) and created a reverse effect (stealing a card from AIs library as opposed my mine) and put that card on top of my library.
Yeah.. that second possibility is probably my imagination0 -

Hi all, I've relayed this to the team for review. I'll go ahead and update the bug list.1

The animation frenzy slowed down the game so much I could observe the buggy process in slow motion - each step. Instead of this: 1) whenever this creature attacks, 2) move the top card of your opponent's library to your hand and 3) give it full mana.
This is actually executed:
1 Whenever this creature attacks
2a - Bug1 : IF your opponent has less than 6 cards in hand THEN
3a - Bug2 : move the top card of your opponent's library to opponents hand
3b - Bug3: Apply any mana cost affecting ability of your opponent to this card
3c - Bug4: give the card mana up to the new current mana cost
4a - Bug5: Copy that card onto your hand
4b - Bug6: Do not always destroy the original card from opponent's hand (condition is unknown to me)
2b - Bug7: ELSE move the top card of your opponent's library to the top of players deck
3c - Bug8 Do not give it full mana.
I would say this is a very creative way to implement simple instructions differently then intended.1 -

Of course, this bug existed when Etali was first introduced, and letting players temporarily go over 6 cards in their hand was a nice elegant solution that fixed Etali so it worked perfectly. *le sigh*

Hm, now that they also want to focus on the graveyard in the next edition - I think it would be time to design at least four "card places" per player. Deck, Hand, Graveyard and Exile. And a common one - where the effective abilities are odered. Best to also have an ordering of cards in each of these places! In table top Magic there are a lot of "the x'th card from" - that is the latest point in time where the games needs to have an ordering of cards in these places.0

Etali still does not fetch a card from the opponent when the opponent's hand is full. Can't tell yet if it still takes a card from the opponent's library and puts it on top of yours.

Thief of Secrets does the same.
I was was playing both and I didn't seem to be drawing cards that weren't from my deck (but maybe they had some of the same cards as me!)0 -
Just verified in TG, Etali's card steal still places the top card from your opponent's library on to the top of your library when your opponent's hand is full. So nothing about card steal (Etali, Chaos Wand, etc.) was fixed in this update.

Hi Everyone. This should be fixed in the 3.1 update!1
-
Just curious - what be the solution here? Since that past Etali is bugged differently in almost every patch so I just wonder what to expect.1

That's also old bug. Cards with cost reduction (migration) are filled with mana calculated on the moment they hit ai hand.

And a again new (?) type of bug.
It seems the supports which can transform, are stolen in a transformed state - with empty many.
If you play them (after producing mana for them) they enter the play and do nothing.
At least I observed this for Storm the Vault.0 -
Stealing has been doing that since 3.0 and hasn't been addressed.
