Lack of In-Game Information

Can anyone imagine downlading and installing the game for the first time just now?

No events, just a message asking you to return later in the events screen.

Now we only can play story mode and if you are new a tutorial where you can not even reorder the cards (if you are new you do not know that later you can do it).

Oktagon, D3 and people in this forum knew that today is going to be released the 2.9 version (people in forum could suspect it), but the rest of the players only know that a beta event is going to be released sometime in the near future.

It is so difficult/expensive to advise everyone through the Inbox in the game of the schedule of the 2.9 release?

I have already asked for the events schedule been available in the game, no official answer. I have also asked for more informstion to be published in the game as not everybody read the forums, no official answer.

Please, use more the in-game communication channel. Information is needed. @Brigby, @Oktagon_Daiane

Its like back when I first started and the events tab just said "coming soon"

But we did have quick battle back then, so it wasn't a total loss.

There definitely should be much more in-game communication.  I know a good chunk of the player base is either here on the forums or in a coalition with people that are, but there must be a very large group of players with neither who are extremely confused most of the time.

Even if it was just a message in the in-game inbox with a link to the topic/announcement on the forum. A good way to get people here as well.

I get your point. But also the “no events” isn’t unheard of in this game before a patch. And it’ll only be for a few hours as the patch is due out later today, meaning it would only really effect new players joining in the last 12 or so hours. And even then, a new player might not expect that there are always events going. Games like Adventure Capitalist only have events on the weekends, so people might initially assume something similar here

I've never seen a total blank page.  Usually Training Grounds is still going before/after an update.

And what about a somewhat new player?  If you've been playing even only a couple weeks you'll still get a pretty good idea of what the schedule is.  Suddenly seeing nothing would still be confusing.

You guys are missing the point.... why wouldn't they inform the players of an impending update in the app inbox?

In fact, we had to infer it by reading into forum posts rather than actually being announced here either...

I agree that an in-game notification would be good since it's likely the bulk of the player base doesn't read the forums, and even many who do forgot that there wouldn't be events today, or didn't read that post in the first place.

My thought was more that I don't think it's that big a deal <shrug>

Hi Everyone. We posted an inbox notification this morning, after we got into the office. We apologize for any confusion prior to this.

Please start doing things like this before the day of an update so people can properly prepare.

I don't know why you guys are so averse to keeping your players properly informed of impending updates and changes. Letting us know an update is coming ahead of time but having to delay it because of issues is still better than just dropping it in players laps a couple of hours after letting them know it's coming.

They have historically been terrible at communication with the user community not sure why anyone would expect anything different.

@Brigby There really should be a button that links to the forum in game.
