A suggestion for a new pve mode, to run alongside a season.

goals:

1. have something to play when you aren't near optimal times for pve and are done with sim, that isn't boring.

2. reward use of full roster.

The concept:

* only progression rewards - play when you want.
* event runs for 4 weeks.
* it's a chain of nodes as long as, say, the number of characters in the game divided by 4(?).
* beating a node locks it and opens the next one. all nodes are visible from the beginning, enemy-wise.
* nodes increase in difficulty and rewards. start with nodes that a starting roster can beat and reward 25 hp, end in nodes that will challenge a champed team of the best 5*s in the game and reward an LT.
* along the event, you can use each character in the game ONCE - when you've beaten a node using iceman, you can't use him again this event.

the idea is that you'll use your weaker toons on the early nodes and save your best for the last ones - so every node is still a bit of a challenge. you'd want to form teams of toons that are weaker overall but synergize well, to 'punch up' the nodes - one that could be beaten by champed 4*s, say, but you use a particular team of 3*s that's good against those enemies to save your 4*s for later, harder nodes.
e.g., champ thanos, okoye and jessica jones will easily beat a lvl 220 goon node... but you're prefer to use 3* strange, 2* daken and 3* falcon so you can save the 5*s for harder nodes. or, kraven is a generally low-tier 4*, but you see a tough node down the line against RBG and carnage where he could really come in useful, so you save him for that.

if you have a partly champed roster, you need to think hard about who to use where, while if you have a fully champed one you'll have an easier time while still getting a bit of a challenge.

as an incentive for the devs, this event will really reward a wide roster => roster slots => hp sales :)
