Guilds of Ravnica Masterpieces

So here's an interesting dilemma for Puzzle Quest.

Masterpieces are returning (in a fashion) for Guilds of Ravnica, set to launch next month. However, this time the masterpieces are planeswalkers. These can't be placed into the game the same way as previous cards as planeswalkers aren't cards you can add to the deck. Two of these masterpiece planeswalkers will be in the set, Ral Zarek and a new Vraska, and two we already have in game, Liliana the Last Hope, and Teferi, Hero of Dominaria

The reminders are:
Elspeth, Knight Errant
Daretti, Ingenious Iconoclast
Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker
Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas

Would we as players be willing to spend pinkies on four new planeswalkers? How much should they cost if so? And should they then be made available for purchase with crystals once the next set comes out?

Or should these be either ignored or just implemented for crystals while they continue to pull "masterpieces" from the latest masters set?

To be honest I think even only having access to 4 more planeswalkers is an interesting proposal some might actually grab using pinkies. They don't even need to be overpowered, just interesting and give a different angle to their respective colors (something to make them worth considering without turning the chase into a whalefest).

The biggest problem from my perspective? Bolas again! Please! No more Bolases! Two is the absolute limit I can take. I was just joking the past event that the ideal walkers for each node are Bolas1, Bolas2, Bolas3 and Bolas4. Let's just not turn that into a thing! Enough is enough!

I think they are just gonna introduce the planeswalkers the regular way and pull the masterpieces from the latest masters set.

But it's definitely an interesting idea; making them available via EPs that cost gubbins.

Also agreed that they should skip this Bolas; it's too soon.

That would definitely not solve the main problem of walkers ... Where are the runes to lvl them?

I think so too. selling PW's for pinkies will slow down their income too much.

I'm expecting more Masters cards.  Maybe we'll get the blue pact next, and it'll just say "you win the game"

These aren't going to be released the same way as previous mps. They're going to be sold directly through Hasbro for one day. That said , I wouldn't be opposed to the idea of spending jewels in this fashion. I'd be interested to see how tezz and daretti translated. 

And @Mburn7 we already got the blue pact in ammonkhet . It just wasn't blue .

I would prefer to see them released as regular PW. It’s hard enough for a lot of players who aren’t long time vets to get a leg up in this game as it is. Asking them to spend jewels on PW would be crossing the line.

Jewels would be another option. Crystals or cash should be the main option

There will always be more planeswalkers in the set itself. We know there will be a new Ral Zarek and a new Vraska so far, and based on leaked art, there's likely a new Jace, and within the next year, a new Tamiyo.

I didn't state in my initial post, but really I think most of these planeswalkers that are reprints as masterpieces are ones that we really don't need unless they do something interesting with the excepting of Daretti. A red/black planeswalker that makes tokens and cares about the number of artifacts or supports you have would be something new I would 100% like to see put into the game.

As far as acquiring them, I wouldn't love to see them made available initially for pinks, but wouldn't complain if it was that then crystals so long as pinks aren't the only way to get them. I also wouldn't complain if they're made available for cash then crystals. However, when we look at Masters 25, they are starting to scrap the bottom of the barrel in terms of cards they can translate into masterpieces, so taking a break from that set to make the walkers available wouldn't be terrible.
