Card draw not random?! Engine broken?

I really can not believe that this is random:

In the "through Ixalan" event I played decks with 5 creatures
Then I had 5 (!) matches in a row where I did only get 1 or two creatures in the 10 first rounds.

Never ever is that random - the chances are simply too low. The last 3 matches I had to wait 6 rounds for the first creature.
Was there some change in the general random routine?
This looks more like a seed or parameter issue - something which turned the chances into only one direction.
