Just pulled BSZ. Yay. So, which should I run for maximum crazypants mana gain? Or both?

Both. BSZ pulls Stv, pays for it. Plus Lannery. And spell swindle. If you run search for a... it gets even better /more absurd

Run both.  You now have the best mana ramp in standard.  Because Blue is the mana ramp color, clearly

Well when StV goes out of standard which is 2 sets away anyway will still have BSZ for another 2, there’s a good blue card somewhere in standard

You know, when I got the card I read it wrong, and thought it said x2 not +2. The card is awesome, but I thought it was going to be totally broken.

Works great to pull much-needed Expel from Orazca cards, and it charges them to boot

Absoultly agree. Boom a wish to give a fully-charged BSZ and cast for more free cards.

So Djinn gives full mana to awaken cards?  I was not aware of that.

As for Jodah, he doesn't seem like he would be a great fit with BSZ... because making BSZ cost 3 instead of 6 base mana is marginal, then you seemingly have to muster another 13 mana with no mana bonuses.

However, I ran him in HoD on Teferi, and it actually works beautifully.  Basically every card will be fully charged on your next turn (assuming Jodah survives) even if you only cast BSZ with 2 awaken mana.

In my experience with Blue Sun's Zenith, running Storm the Vault is just overkill. If you build the deck around it, you can do without.

For how I've used them, Storm the Vault is great if you want to cast some big, powerful spells with nigh mana costs. Blue Sun's Zenith is good if you want to storm off lots of lower cost spells in one turn.

Yesterday's combo for me has been Djinn of Wishes + BSZ + STV. Sun Zenith grabs cards and generates mana, I spit Djinn and STV on the board... Shortly after STV flips, next turn blue cascades lead to the wishes being popped. Rinse, repeat! Yummy!

Overkill? It's very sporting of you to give Greg a chance by not playing too many powerful cards in a deck, but I'm not sure that I'd extend him the same courtesy.
It's more that I simply don't need it in the decks I've designed for Blue Sun's Zenith, I'd rather play a card that has an immediate effect when I cast the masterpiece. I run entirely spells in the deck with mana costs 12 or less because Blue Sun's Zenith can cast them all for free whereas I look at Storm the Vault as a key card in decks with higher costed spells.

It has nothing to do with giving the AI a chance, it's just what I see as most effective and efficient for my own deck, and in many ways it gives other players a chance since Storm the Vault + Blue Sun's Zenith means even Greg can play the deck, whereas he probably won't be able to play the more strategic decks I built. I'm not trying to screw over other players facing my decks, I'm just trying to have fun with my own play.
