Thanks for the link!  But shouldn't this have been posted last week or something?

Note that Ajani Unyielding (white/green) and Chandra, Torch of Defiance are also unavailable.
Not necessarily a bad thing... just info for those players who are lost but seeking...

so, just curious, what's available in the Vault right now?

I have all the planeswalkers aside from Nissa3 (won't get) and Hauti1 (definitely won't get).
I have my N3 at level 24, It makes AX and TotP, and TG a breeze.
    better than Kiora?

I find the games are faster with a walker at the lower level, bolas for one is never a problem and I don't even run creature or support removal as usually the game is over before they can get set up. In legacy, Kiora maxed maybe faster with all the crazy looping but I can win with N3 without having to watch crazy cascades for minutes at a time, I use a standard legal deck for all events.

This is why I keep my Nahiri at 24.  Can chew up TG in just a few minutes of effort, especially in Legacy.  It's nice not to have to play long games.

This seems like a flaw in the game to me. Why should it be more beneficial to not level up? Especially since you can't undo leveling either.

Has anyone else noticed that HoD boosters are showing up at the Standard prices?

Ixalan and rest of Standard (except Origins) are 54 for the single booster and Amonkhet and older are 50. HoD which should be the Legacy price is showing up as the Standard price.

Agreed.  But if I want to keep up my resources for obtaining new cards, I have to make it through TG every day, whether I want to test out a new deck or not.  Much faster to win in 4-6 turns with a low-level PW than to slug it out with opponents who have 100+ HP.

The developers should solve multiple problems at once: let the player choose their PW's level at the start of each match, and set the opposing PW to that level.  No more smurfing, no more level imbalance... you can pair against anyone, and you'll play the match at whatever level you picked.  No more disincentive to leveling.

Originally, Hibernium went through great trouble to design planeswalkers in a way that encouraged leveling them up.  I know Gideon was completely redesigned because the leveling curve of his first ability made it pointless to level after it hit level 2.

At some point Hibernium gave up on doing that, and Oktagon seems to not care either.  A planeswalker hasn't been changed post-release since Sorin, and most of the new walkers play so well at low levels it seems pointless to level them further (Samut is a great example, at level 30 ish her abilities are good enough to be useful almost all the time and her mana gains are still insanely good).

It is definitely a design flaw, but its one we've grown accustomed to and one that the devs seem very ok with
