WHY NO NEWS!

Is it really so hard for anyone in any official capacity to give people here any news on 1. Delays in alliance rewards issued from last PvE, and 2. State of play regarding the servers?

Even if the statement is a copy paste "We are aware of technical difficulties and are working on resolving them but cannot give a timeframe".

As a resident of England it is now nearly midnight and seeing as I have to be at work in 6 hours it will be a very long time until I can log into my game again.

Communication is key here and if it isnt forth coming the next set of Venture Beat articles will be about how you lost your $1ARPDU or whatever the acronym is.

    I know that the exclamation mark is appropriate as an expression of your frustration, but I would have appreciated a question mark instead of/in addition to that point. What about "NEWS?!?" instead?

    I thought you were excited because you had news. icon_e_sad.gif We discussed this elsewhere!

    Changed the thread title. I didnt mean for it to appear misleading. Sorry.

    I just wanted to express my dissatisfaction and the lack of communication.

  • Some news would be good, even if it's just a heads up "Hey we're having technical issues" kind of thing.

    I just know I wouldn't want to be IceIX right now, he's pretty much the only link to the dev team (besides the occasional Bookworm Will post). As soon as he gets online everyone is gonna jump on him like a pack of rabid dogs.

    But still, better than giving your costumers the silent treatment. You gotta do what you gotta do.

    Maybe HYDRA's virus finally hit their servers and all communications are down....

    I think the developers might be hoping to fix the issue "quick" enough so that they don't have to tell us anything in the short run. Although personally I think people would be more patient if we were just kept in the loop.

    I think everyone would be more calm and would be willing to be more patient if we got a message from them, even if it was just saying "Hey. We are aware there's a problem right now. We're doing our best to fix it ASAP." And people would be REALLY patient if the message also said. "To make up for this inconvenience, we'll be giving everyone extra Classic Daken covers." icon_razz.gif

    Seems I can't say it enough times - it's my #1 complaint with this game/D3, the lack of communication from the devs when things go wrong or people are having issues. With their track record, we'll hear about this network outage in a week or two.

    Yeah we'll get more information once the Venture Beat article goes up where they brag about how well they handled it.

    "Quick"?!? My events tab has been blank for the last 2 hours. And it only had the IM PVP up for like an hour. The system has been basically nonfunctional all day (Since at least 7am CST when I woke up) with a few moments of stability.

    Heck, my events tab has been empty AND it says I'm not in an alliance.
  • My events tab is back, but it still thinks I am alliance-less. And yeah, no word of daken covers
