Arcane Adaptation - Please Change/Update?

The paper version of this card allows you to choose a type and then your creatures are the chosen type (in addition, blah blah blah). Obviously, this may be too difficult to implement as a 1-to-1 port, but if we can't change adaptation to allow us to choose creature types, can it at least be updated to include the core creature types of Elves, Zombies, and Goblins?

I'll be honest, I just REALLY want to make Sai a Goblin... imagine the shenanigans. As is, the only busted thing I get to do with him is pair him with Sanctum Seeker or Mavren.

...I should pair him with Sanctum Seeker and Mavren...

Not to mention the possible shenanigans with Liliana's Contract

And shouldn't it affect cards in hand after being played?

Yes, it shouldn’t be an ETB. Should be a static effect.

It should be static.  Its been brought up before.  On the bright side, you keep the new subtypes after its destroyed, which wouldn't happen if it's static.

It acts like a spell. Once I started thinking like that I could at least understand what was happening even if it wasn’t right.

Another option would be to pick one of the next X creatures in your deck and embune the support with the creature types of that creature.

Tokens might get weird though. Especially with leader.

They have cards that check if you have 3 matching creature types in your deck, why not just make Arcane Adaptation give out all the creature types in your deck? There would be some crazy interactions, but I can't think of any that would be broken.

@DBJones has the most interesting idea so far... It should be any creature type mentioned on a card in your deck rather than just creatures. Although maybe that opens up the broken part slightly.

That would certainly solve some of the issues with my standard demon deck. =)
