Dragon War Single RANK Rewards Too Competitive?

Hi, I will finish this event with 412 points.  I won most of my matches, but lost 2 due to connectivity issues and 3 due to crazy bot cascades.  So my win rate is something like 89% (40/45 matches or so?).

Here is the rub, I am in the last Single RANK rewards section only getting 1000 runes after playing 45+ matches.....

Solution? Not sure, but feels very defeating...

Solution ? Smaller brackets. The rewards don't look like reflecting the bracket size.

This is a problem in every event.  If you are in a competitive bracket, 1 or 2 losses will bump you out of the top 250 pretty consistently.

The only real solutions are more difficult objectives (to make it more likely players lose points), which is pretty universally disliked, or smaller brackets (so there are less people who can pass you), which is pretty universally liked in the legacy events (when they work properly).

Obviously this means we're getting harder objectives, just like the first time we had this debate back in Innistrad (which led to the infamous Emrakul's Corruption with "summon 6 or more eldrazi" and "summon 6 or more werewolves/spirits/vampires" as the objectives on every node)

I'd love for us to return to smaller brackets. Any day now.

Not making reward differences so extreme would help too.

The differeces were not so extreme like in older events. But yes: lost one match against first-turn-double-GR and miss some objectives, 521 pt., P60something. But hey next time I get prepared against lucky Greg and tweak my decks.

I like that it pays off to reach top spots in some events. Although a loss hurts that much more, we need some competition from time to time.
Most new stuf have been catered to newer players and is basically a give-away of resources with small effort.

I have started playing ToTP again a few times a week since it's the most competive environmet where something actually is on stake.

Smaller brackets definitely. Losing 1-2 matches and ending the event with 1,000 runes as a reward is basically a slap in the face for a platinum player.

412/540 points is somewhere around the 80% win rate.
these events can be very competitive.
