Ambsucade even more broken than before [Investigating]

The animation correctly applies the +2/0 first. However, this time instead of dealing damage equal to the first creature's power, it's dealing damage equal to the first creature's unbuffed power which means the +2/0 doesn't matter. It also means that buffs from supports are not included. The +2/0 is then immediately reverted after damage is dealt. See screenshot below

My 1/1 Soldier is buffed +2/+2 by On Serra's Wings. Ambuscade should have dealt 5 damage, but instead it dealt only 1. The +2/0 faded almost immediately after the damage was dealt.

It's actually worse than that.  Ambuscade now deals damage based on a creature's base power (before buffs AND before reinforcements).

Here is a Red Devil playground token reinforced 11 times (3 casts) and buffed by +4/+4 by Ulrich.  Only does 1 damage.

Hey devs, this card is still only applying the base creatures power, ignoring reinforcements and the +2/0 in the damage dealt. If you're going to make the card use base power then put that in the card text...

@Brigby are devs aware of this?

Plus, it changed its behavior also in another way -
Before, when you had no creatures and it was filled, the moment you cast a creature, it was usable. Now, if it's in your hand before the creature, it doesn't cast until the next turn

Hi everyone, according to the team, this card is intended to use the first creature's base power, and they are discussing the way the card is worded as this can currently be unclear. Basically, the line "where X is the initial creatures power." is meant to be interpreted as "where X is the creature's initial power."

But "Initial Power" and "Base Power" are still two completely different things.

If I have a stack of 10 Vampire tokens and I cast Ambuscade, then the "Initial Power" is 10 but the "Base Power" is still 1.  That's a huge difference.

Also, it really should not be "Base Power" because that would make the card pretty much useless.

Hmm...to my knowledge, it dealing the initial power is correct, however it shouldn't be base power. I'll pass that along to the team for review.

Right.... And then what's the point of the +2/0? Needed a few more things to code? 🤣
Seems like it might be easier to say that it's working as intended, rather than to actually fix it.
