Cataclysmic Gearhulk only hits opponent's supports [Fixed in 2.9]

In Fateful Showdown, the Cataclysmic Gearhulk opponent cast his signature card, it killed off his other creatures, then mine besides my first, then my supports, then stops? He had Authority of the Consulate out too, so this was quite annoying.

I saw this as well, the Cataclysmic Gearhulk did not destroy his own supports.
