Land.dec

Howdy!

I'm trying to put a deck with a land theme together. Dominaria and M19 brought us so many land related cards, so I thought it's worth a try. I choosed Kiora as PW as you're allowed to put six supports in the deck. This is what I came along with so far (based on the cards I have):

There is no special keycard. Rupture Spire and Scapeshift get the mana flow. This gets even more sick with all the activated gems from Pryomancer's Goggles, Staff of Chaos und Rishadan Port. Tishana und Tatyova keep your hand filled, I think I gonna change Memorial to Genius to Memorial to Unity to get more quality instead of two random cards.

The two cards I'm not sure about are Gather the Pack and Mending of Dominaria. Gather adds nothing to the deck itself, especially because of all the loyalty you get from the gem destruction, you are able to use Kioras second ability frequently. Also drawing it with Goggles is bad. Mending feels like a win more card. I never had a situation where I really needed it.

I tried Sylvan Awakening, but I never had three lands at once (only after the third part of Mending).

If you have any ideas to tweak the deck, I'm very happy :)

Kudos for making this mono green. It makes you can actually stick it to any green planeswalker ;)

It more or less kept itself mono green :D

I tried other PWs, but only Nissa 1.0 would make the cut, because you can play six supports with her as well.

If you have it, Crucible of Worlds would be seriously annoying to go against in the deck you posted. It’s not a land as such, but it’s a modern version of Nyx for land supports.

Great idea! There are great land supporting cards as Masterpieces in this set. But as my luck is known for basically not existant, I don't set my hope too high. ;)

    Thank you. :)

I do get my card names confused, because of the English and German. I always have to look them up, which is extra work. :D

Ditto. I don’t think it exists in Danish. :/

Now, back on topic. I pulled Courser of Kruphix, which is THE creature for a land support abuse. Some crazy interactions, taking ideas from the deck you posted.

    Creatures:
    Courser of Kruphix
    Verdant Sun’s Avatar
    Tishana

    Spells:
    Summoner’s Pact
    Naturalize

    Supports:
    Mending of Dominaria
    Crucible of Worlds
    Detection Tower
    Rupture Spire
    Arch of Orazca

    ————

I ran this in. Huatli 2 build, so was limited to 5 supports. I’ll have to tinker with another PW that runs more supports, but this could also be used in mono green.

All that mythics and masterpieces, though... That deck looks fun too!

One thing to mention is, that you can draw beyounf your limit of six cards with Chaos Wand. This benefits Tishana very well. :D
