Flusterstorm Not Working Correctly Since Ages

So I was playing around with it earlier and it did not seem to be draining any Mana. There used to be a Mana draining animation before the last update but now there is no animation even.

    They changed it a few updates back without changing the text to match, maybe it's something like that? I think it originally required you to cast cards for it to drain mana, maybe it has that again, or some other condition on the drain. Does it still lose shields? I'm pretty sure it's supposed to lose a shield per drain, but not otherwise.
