I'm bored.  Lets make another poll!!

How frequently should legacy events run?  And should there be new ones created?

NO. No legacy should ever be played anywhere ever. Keep that stuff in Story mode.

I just want more to do and I would absolutely love if they made some block-specific legacy events and have the PVE one's added to story mode. Sometimes i'm board and just want to use my most fun deck and take a swing at Avacyn or try to take out Bolas' deck with a new strategy that wont hurt my coalition if I lose.

The more events the better basically.

No other opinion available. I want story mode caught up. And to keep it exciting and worth it, rotate through it. Like, have a chapter open for a week. Then players can farm it. After a week it locks and the next chapter opens - regardless of completing or not (Similar to a Journey Through History events are being run). And then it rotates trough full story mode. And then starts over. It would be a brilliant way to get new players up to speed while also allowing older players to enjoy it with legacy and new cards. If you want to shake it up, randomly restrict the story mode chapters to its corresponding set. But not if it breaks the game! ;)

Interesting idea.  How would rotating story chapters be different from the current Legacy PvE events?  If its in story mode it should always be there as a place to play and farm.

I'm definitely down for sets with different set restrictions than the current Standard/Legacy, though!

I guess it’s not PvE events as we know them. But it would just be there always in story mode. You’d have a full week to complete it so you could still put in the time for coalition events, etc. or you could let it pass and no loss - and no gain. The rewards would need adjusting to include mana jewels, etc. but I for one would definitely enjoy that and actually spend time on it - even if I already own all cards in the game, except masterpieces... ahem....

It would be a massive undertaking but it would be REALLY healthy for the game and the entire player base if you ask me. And the rewards should be the same for all tiers. Just fair play and nothing else.

I'd like to see legacy events with some set restrictions, like a Kaladesh/Amonkhet event only, aligned with matching packs available for purchase in the Vault (and maybe a free pack), so new players can easily acquire a handful of cards to participate.

@Mburn7 You could have added one more option. New legacy events and no more older legacy events.

The reasoning behind this is that much of the issues that we all are facing is when Oktagon tries to incorporate their cards into an older Hibernium legacy event and all hades breaks loose. Personally I would like to see an end to the old legacy events for gameplay's sake and would absolutely love to see Oktagon create a couple of legacy only events. They have already shown that they can provide challenging new objectives and the events they create are likely to have less issues in the near future with new cards being added. That and the most obvious reason... while standard is awesome in its own right... I definitely don't think that Legacy should get the left overs as far as events go going forward. They should get some new event love too IMHO.

I wouldn't mind if they brought back more of the Legacy stuff (though you can keep FiRF)... ;)

Oops.  Didn't think of that.  I do like the old Legacy events, but I do see what you mean by the app needing a clean break from Hibernium's Spaghetti code.  I'd say that's more the nuclear option, but it definitely is feasible.

Or maybe Block Parties, where they feature an older event but restrict the cards you can use to the card sets/PW's legal/available at the time of the event's inception? That way the coding would (theoretically) match up better.

Block card only events were an old suggestion I made (and probably others?).  It would be a fun format to try to play.  It's been an interesting challenge when self-imposed.

I guess "status quo" is the most neutral option.

I don't think the development team should even have old events on the radar when there's new content that will eventually be added to the game and current content that needs to be fixed . I think asking them to revist old content is asking too much.

I wouldn't mind more frequent old legacy events either, I just wouldn't play them most of the time. I think making legacy events would be a great way for Oktagon to try out new ideas, with the lesser rewards of legacy events, bugs wouldn't be as big of a deal, especially if they labeled the first run as a beta run or similar.

All existing events eventually become legacy events. I wouldn’t mind seeing some of the legacy PvE events make occasional returns. But I never bother with PvP events largely speaking, especially if they’re legacy.

I'm fine with legacy  PVE with upgraded rewards. I don't bother with legacy pvp except for totps (good rewards)

We spend a lot of time card chasing and then they rotate out and just gather dust.
Recycling old events is worthwhile - look at the RotGP update.  I like a lot of the suggestions here.
New events just for Legacy!  Block parties!
    Legacy does deserve love.

I've always liked this idea because I want to play Shadows with mostly shadows (for example), but for those who weren't around at the time it locks them out.

So I was thinking... How about Standard + the specific sets for that event. Then everyone _can+ play but it leans towards that set.

Or even... Origins, latest set and the 2 sets the event came with or something like that.
