Mythic+ Elite Pack Duplicates - Temporary CS Policy (7/5/18)

Hi Everyone,

With the recent announcement of non-duplicates being implemented for Mythic+ Elite Packs in 2.7.1, we wanted to provide a temporary Customer Support policy for players that have recently received/will receive a duplicate from a Mythic+ Elite Pack.

If you are a player that received/ends up receiving a duplicate from a Mythic+ Elite Pack, between June 25th and July 10th, please reach out to Customer Support, and they will credit you with 5,000 Mana Orbs.

    Nice move, but maybe next time a little earlier. I can't remember when I pulled my last Elite-Pack (last week). At least non-dupe.

    I've been wasting my crystals on the rare+ elite packs (think like 2 purchases in the past week, all dupes of course), because Dominaria mostly has better rares than mythics.

    Is there any conversion offered for that? 1,000 orbs?  A gold star and a bag of skittles?

    @brigby a word on customer service...

    I was thrilled at the generosity on display, but received the following strange message from d3go support:

    "In order to proceed, could you tell us the name of the duplicate card you had received as well as the approximate date that you had received it?"

    Really? I know I had a dupe in my last mythic+ pack, which was opened in the last couple of weeks, but I don't see how it's reasonable to think that players are keeping track of every pack and card opened, especially when we 1) had no reason to expect we'd need to know that information, and 2) open dozens of packs each month, including multiple elite+/rare+ packs.

    Surely y'all have a way to track this stuff--and since duplicates aren't shown in our inventory any more, the only possible way to verify that I indeed received a duplicate Mythic_Card_X would be to compare it to transaction records--which means that asking me the question was completely unnecessary.

    It would be better if the credit were given as a gift in the 2.7.1 update. It would be fairer with all.

    Come on, it is already generous to give 5k orbs of you remember the name if the last mythic dupe you got. If you don't remember the name you might as well tried to sneak 5k orbs without deserving them. I got mine because I remembered that I got a dupe mishra replicator...the irony and now I have a Tishana.

    And so I wait to craft remaining DOM mythics so I can get guaranteed masterpieces from pinkie packs.

    Until then... I’m hoarding pinkies. Yay!
