Brazil v. Mexico

While I hold no malice towards Brazil, I was hoping for a swift knockout.

The optimist in me believes that their participation in the World Cup has been the reason for Oktagon's "radio silence" recently, because the lack of communication from the game developers and support staff has been a real disappointment.

There are a number of lengthy, well-thought-out posts detailing problems with game play, rewards systems, scheduling, as well as countless questions regarding set rotation, M19 (in or not?), elite pack duplicates, etc... that have not been addressed.

The monthly Q&A posts are not answered in a timely fashion, and the only questions that get handled are softballs. The answers are often vague and never cover any of the criticism fielded by the community.

I applaud Brigby's attempts to communicate on the forums, but the rest of the team has been conspicuously absent.

As much as I suspect the silence is due to the work being put in toward Core 2019, you may be right that the world cup is a contributing factor.

I don't blame them, though.  This is the biggest sporting event in the world, and its a huge deal to them and their country.

We should be getting updates at some point this week, since the paper release is next weekend and Oktagon has been doing a pretty good job releasing the set with paper (although not such a good job releasing the gallery beforehand)

M19 was confirmed by Brigby at least. Not in a major announcement but in a few random threads here and there.

Thank you. It's a pity such an important announcement is buried in a discussion like that.

Agreed. Why do the important details not just get communicated through nice simple announcements? Why do we need to ask so many times and go on treasure hunts to find the answers?

Ummm... A football match (soccer for you Americans) is not longer than 2-2 1/2 hours. And they aren’t playing every day. So far they have played 4 games. I highly doubt that to be enough to cause radio silence. Either way, we got our update notice now and I guess that should be enough to say what they’ve been up to.

Now... back to the game... 😝

I now regret making this joke in another thread several days ago, because it seems that it was taken to be serious. Actually believing Brazilians aren't doing their work because they're too busy watching soccer is not acceptable behavior.

There are a lot of things which work great as jokes but badly if someone accidentally takes them seriously...
