Ares, CStorm - who to level next with Thor + Daken

Currently I have an 85 Thor at 4/4/5 (waiting on 1 more yellow) along with a 69 Daken; this pair functions as my main PvP team, and Thor is a PvE mainstay too. Recently I fully covered my 5/4/4 CStorm, and with the 600 pt Ares yellow cover from Heavy Metal, I'll have a 4/4/4 Ares. Since both CStorm and Ares can go to 85, I'm thinking it's time to swap out Daken, so I'm trying to decide who to level. So which 2 of those 3 would you pick as a PvP team (since most PvP is pick 2 + featured)? Thor + CStorm has the AoE thing going plus Thor yellow -> CStorm green; also covers more colors (no black or purple). Thor + Ares is uber tanky and damaging on defense no matter who you kill first, but only covers 3 colors. Ares + CStorm seems less good, lacking the resource generation of Thor, but covers more colors again. For PvE CStorm would seem more useful, since often you're fighting Ares and can't use him. I also have an MNMags slowly getting covered (5/3/3 right now), which points towards CStorm. On the other hand, Ares + Daken would be a drop-in replacement for Thor + Daken, letting me do more PvP without healthpacks. Clearly I'll level them both, but since the 80k or so ISO for that will take will take a while, I'm curious which will help more in the short run.

I played Thor & Storm for a while before I got OBW and it was a pretty good, enjoyable team - getting those 11 blue for storm is very satisfactory, although unless you're seriously low on AP and/or need to shake the board up, the green from Thor's yellow should probably stay with Thor for his own green.
Writing this, I'm thinking I should probably play them again I miss having a stun, even such a useless one.

Thor and Ares together are a menace, but they're a bit slow to get going without OBW's steal... And they'll tank a lot of damage which will make you very reliant on those health packs. How's your OBW? You'll really need a healer occasionally. Also I'm not sure just how much of a defensive deterrent they are, I'm much more likely to skip a Thor/Ares + Daken team, than a Thor+Ares team. They take a while to whittle down, but with OBW it's trivial to stall them before you get your own heavy hitter going, since you only need to deny three colours + all they collect and you steal is actually useful.

I'd go with Storm - Ares and Thor are pretty similar in the end. I'd still max out Ares later, he's very fun to play with, but with Storm you'll get more diversity and can cover an extra colour - her blue is really nice, I'd consider respecing her to 5/5/3 if you can.

Sadly, the game has been amazingly stingy with OBW covers for me; mine's stuck at 4/2/1 and maxed at her cap of 38. Obviously I'll level her at some point, but it doesn't seem likely to be soon unless I get a run of her covers.

Re: CStorm's build, I haven't seen a 5th blue cover yet, but I was considering leaving her at 5/4/4 anyway, since 4 vs 5 blue is just 1 more turn on the stun, but the same damage, while 4 vs 3 yellow improves the damage and might surprise someone on defense. I know that I personally almost wiped on a team with CStorm recently with a Call the Storm that killed her two teammates but didn't quite kill her, and resulted in her yellow downing everyone on my team but my Thor (and he only just lived).

Ugh, okay I was going to say use OBW for the AP steal anyway (I started using mine when she was paltry lvl 23 and never looked back ) but 4 purple is like the worst to have her at. Yeah, better wait.

And very true about Storm. I dunno how often I miscalculated the killing hit for her... 9 green for Ares, yeah that'll work.. ooops, 10 HP left. But it's still a pretty rare occurrence, whereas a longer stun is basically always good. But if it works for you, great!

Personally I'd go with Ares over Storm. Either one will be great for you on offense and fun to play, but if I have a choice of fighting Thor + Ares, Thor + Daken, or Thor + Storm, I will go after Thor + Storm first, then Thor + Daken, then hit the Skip button on Thor + Ares hoping to get a nice squishy Storm + Magneto combo for dessert.
