Crown Passing

Will it be a thing?  How do you think it will be done if it does happen?  And what's your opinion on it?  (Please keep it civil)

When can we expect to see an option to pass the crown of Coalition Leadership from one player to another?
We are adding this feature in 2.8, alongside the next set of Magic: the Gathering - Puzzle Quest

    ah!  I can see how it's confusing as the thread that this conversation branched from is now in the bugs & tech issues thread, but it originally came from a post in the Q&A (mod posted it so I think it's safe to include in on this thread)

    When can we expect to see an option to pass the crown of Coalition Leadership from one player to another?
    We are adding this feature in 2.8, alongside the next set of Magic: the Gathering - Puzzle Quest

    @FindingHeart8 if one day you decide to take a break from the game you might want to give your crown to someone active in your coalition, not simply the all time score leader.
    (who is the first name that came to your mind? :)) 
    Some players like to just play their games, others like to organise and help manage things.

    So yes it is an awaited function, even if we are not going to use it every day, far from that

    I'm not sure why you'd even imagine such a scenario.  Seems very straightforward and encapsulated in the short statement.

    I wouldn't wager it as the most probable possibility, but I've been surprised by game updates before, so...

    Right now I think the intention is just to be able to pass the crown to a person of your choosing. Currently coalitions have to go through support to do this and it’s a big ordeal requiring tickets from the outgoing and incoming captains; shared UIDs etc. Or coalitions have to do a dropdown causing players to lose their all time points.

    Crown stealing would only be good in certain situations, such as when a captain just vanishes from the game. I know this has happened to teams before and it is typically only a matter of time afterwards that the coalition falls apart.

    I'd like to see a feature where you could challenge a coalition leader for their crown. Kinda like a dance off?
