JJ Black Firing with No Target [Investigating]

I was playing in God of Lies last night against a team including Jessica Jones. It came down to her vs. my Vulture, everyone else downed. At one point during that, she fired Body Check, even tho Vulture was Airborne, and everyone else was Downed. At first I got it mixed up with Defenestrate, and thought it fired because of the Strike tile creation, but there weren't any Strikes created, and everything else fit with Body Check, not Defenestrate. Sorry, I forgot to get a screen shot, and I can't recall who the third character was on each team.
