Sharon Carter support not working

I have a 4* Sharon carter support that should give 2 additional purple ap approx 20% of the time when you make a purple match. Used to work fine, but after the last update, it does not fire at all. Really hard to check if the other parts of it are working since you unequip and reequip it.... But that part hasn't processed in days. Feel like i just wasted my time even typing this out since the one thing this game has never cared about is whether things work correctly or not... Unless it's something that benefits the player of course

    The character equipped with Sharon Carter Support must be the one who makes the purple match. Could it be possible that the character without Sharon Carter support is the one who makes the purple match?

    Do you remember whom you teamed up the supported character with?
