When I wrote the poll I thought the more complete option would be the best and then I thought about bugs: more choice -> more bugs.
Thus: just give me a toggle please

I remember when they massively sped up animations and it was awful.  Lets be careful with just removing everything.

Adding a speed option should be fine though.

Animations outside of battle are fine. Battle animations I'd like to be able to toggle.

I'm torn here, I kind of like being able to see what gems are converting at the beginning of a turn with gem changers and I like being able to tell what fell from the heavens for Koth's mega cascade. It keeps me from getting mad and thinking how the **** did that happen?

On the other hand, all token animations should happen at once. If I summon one thopter it should show one thopter entering play just like with any creature cast. If I summon 37,000 thopters, it should show one thopter entering play and add a x36,999 tag. We can all read what a card does and understand where X amount of tokens came from, there's even a battle log for us to double check if something seems fishy.

Cards drawn could be animated faster, I don't need to see them pause in the middle of my screen. I built the deck, I know what cards are in my deck. (This might not even be a thing but I can't check due to maintenance.) Cards I cast are the same. Just show it pass through or something. I don't need to see the card I'm casting and read what it does, I should already know that.

Cards the AI cast should still show up the way they do.

As for pop-up confirmations, I wish there was some uniformity with spell cards. Behold the Beyond and Dark Ritual are two frequent examples I like to use. Days Undoing and BtB are very, very similar in what they do yet one auto-casts and the other doesn't. Dark ritual is like a blue desert on steroids except it only puts mana into the first card. Sometimes you hit a surprise cascade and fill the card behind DR and DR then does nothing and is completely wasted. At least with the deserts that mana spills over to another card. If it had a cast confirmation this would never be an issue. I would absolutely love the ability to toggle what cards have cast confirmations within my card list/deck builder. Creatures and supports by default have no confirmation but you could add it to any ones you want. Spells that cast without targeting would by default have a confirmation box but you could turn it off for whatever ones you want.

Examples of creatures and supports that kind of want confirmation boxes:
    El chupacabra
    Manglehorn
    Ruin Rat
    Hostage Taker
    Oath of Liliana

Honestly can't think of any spells that 100% always don't want a confirmation box but some people just never want it so the toggle would be good there.

hahahaha this is great, totally imagining how that would play out:

"Good morning m'lordSo how would you like the speed of your fireball today?"

Forgot to mention that things like creatures dying or buffing really need to happen faster as well. 4.3 in RtO is like the poster child of things a game shouldn't do.

Anyone who thinks they're just fine has never played Thopter Spy Network with Path of Discovery.

Depends on the animation. I want tokens to pop in fast, but I would like cards being cast, at least in the early days of a new set launching, to be slower so I can actually read what is being cast to understand what is going on. I also REALLY want the animations from buffs, like Sorin's 3rd support, to be able to be sped up.

Haven't done this, but I will say playing Brass's Bounty with Captain Lannery Storm and 2 other pirates is pretty painful to sit through too.

I put together a really effective legacy deck with Path of Discovery, Oath of Gideon, and Grovetender Druids....and then I completely stopped playing with it because I just don't have that kind of time in my life, and if I did have that kind of time in my life I'd still probably rather spend it doing something a little more fast-paced and action-filled, like I dunno, watching paint dry or grass grow.

Personally, I'm going to shut off animations and never turn them back on, but I feel having them totally unavailable would be bad for many players, especially the new ones.

I would like to have the versatility to slow them down, speed them up or disable them altogether depending on the situation. New cards need more time to read. I want to be able to disable known animations which take a lot of time. I'm currently playing AJ2 with Oath of Ajani in TG. Having multiple matches that trigger Oath can take quite some time.
