A thought about PvE events... the first time they are run, such as with A World Reborn, or both Race to Orazca and Battle of Four Tribes (now that the Standard card restrictions on them have changed), the workload on them is particularly heavy because new decks need to be built and tested. BOFT potentially needs as many as 15 new decks to be built! (although, yes, in practice, some players may find some matches so easy that building decks is trivial for them, or players may already own decks which are suitable for a match).

Are there ways of mitigating that extra work that needs to be done on early events? Maybe... increase the max games in a node to 10 so that they don't top out after a day? Or... something?

Also, more deck slots would help. People will pay money for those. You guys like money, right?
Hey, you don't supposed this is what they're actually doing with AWR, do you? That'd be.. a thing.

Oh, also, I forgot to say earlier: Liliana 1 is most assuredly *not* a timebomb waiting to go off. :P
Neither is Sphinx's Tutelage. Remember that card?
We both know that Sphinx's Tutelage is not a broken card. If something is making it too good, then it's that card which is too good. :P

It's not a broken card in the _current_ environment because we've always had things we could draw and cast in one turn to get rid of supports or to get extra mana to increase our chances of lucky matches to play through things.

My initial post was based on the predicted direction of the _future_ environment based on mana costs of all new support destruction spells and lands... An Environment where constant discard OR constant cost increases on first card mixed with occasional clearing of mana on it prevent you from casting anything.

There have since been some hopeful signs because they didn't put Gilded Lotus back to 7 mana but dropped it to 6 so you can cast it in one turn. This is a HUGE nod to them maybe recognising the problem.
