Game speed
My #1 issue with the current game is the speed. Am I alone?
If I had it my way I would have the option to skip all animations until my next decision needs to be made. I can find out what cards were played in the Battle Log (if I care). I don't need to see animation's from cards I know I cast, opponents matching gems, or my life link creature attacking adding life to my already 100% life total.
After a match bothers me also. I know what goals I accomplished, do I need popups that we am forced to click. Could that screen just be the background as the next page loads. I have seen those quotes more than enough.
I could go on and on but I am afraid I am the only one. I feel like there is 1 minute of decisions in a 5 minute game. This hurts my soul a little when I think about the wasted time.
Side note, fast matches could help solve the runes issue. If I could get through a match in 30 seconds I could earn more without major game changes.
If you agree please tell the devs.

This has been complained about often, but nothing has happened so far. Right now everything is even worse because it takes the game several minutes to find out if it can actually load the next screen or if it has to give a Something Went Wrong error.

The issue is, they put the animations on hyperspeed once before in the past, and found that it was just awful. AI would make a match, there would be a burst of light, and the game would be over. New players were especially confused.
Granted, this was pre-battle log (arguably this is the thing that made the battle log a high-priority issue) and it was mandatory, so an opt-in setting would probably work better. But I can see the devs still keeping it a low-priority issue because of the disaster from last time.2 -

Loyalty animation cause me not to play really good planeswalker - huatli 2. I just can't stand watching few minutes animations with stack of nasty vampires.1

Huatli 2 is ridiculous indeed. I don't play her anymore just because her animations are so slow. Despite her actually being an excellent pw.0

I've requested this, too. I also think that it'll eliminate some of the screen related bugs that can happen.0

I only have this problem with my alt which is on Android. I find things to be extremely fast on iOS. I actually run HUF - Deploy (which has tons of animations) to grind runes -- it's faster than my insane aggro Koth deck. (did 3 matches in TotP in under 7 minutes with game transitions)0
-
Deploy is manageable. With 70+ reinforced token, 1St ability of huatli takes ages;)1

So now the question is: is it faster to wait through H2’s animations, or to not use her 1st ability when running vamp stacks?0

For me, the question is (...) to not run vamp stacks when wanting to use her abilities.
I tried it. It's op as hell, can result in endless loops, wins reliably, but.. It's boring as hell, just sitting and watching animations.. It's kind of like the old Baral loops, but sooooo much slower.

It depends some on your device .Not so much android vs ios ,but the processing power of your device itself .I'm on android and don't really experience lag, but I did on my previous device . I liked when the token animations were sped up, but I don't think that nuking animations all together would be good. Though I suppose that the option would be ok. When I grind, which is rare, I usually end up quitting after 30 or 40 minutes because I'm tired of all the non match stuff that I don't care about. Admittedly , I'm pretty laid back about these things because the game is what it is, but I want the game to be good for as many people as possible1

I would love the option to turn off all animation. They did say they were working on animation options in one of the recent Q&As, so I'm hopeful it'll come out with or just after Dominara.

I'd propose something similar to what is done with other animations, do it once and then just tick up the numebrs one at a time. So with thopters it brings up the card once and then counts 2,3,4 on the stack with no further animation. With Huatli's loyalty, it draws the line to loyalty once (to get your attention there) and then the loyalty bar just fills up (bit by bit but really fast) because that's where your eye is now.You could always have options for "full animations" current default, "medium" that I just described and "none".0

They had made some improvements on token animation speed (after some here had made the comparison with Nahiri's 3rd ability), I can't understand why they reverted to previous animation that shows each tokencome into play
Killing opponent's Hangarback Walker is just painful...

I don't play thopters just for that reason or Roil as it can get mind numbing. Count the card , but don't flash it every time.0

You're right, with Zendikar's Roil the animation is sometimes skipped0 -
I like animations and they add a lot to the game, However all animations should be MINIMALIZED,
for example:
- when something gives multiple buffs (like decimator of the provinces, aka warpig) have it do the animation targeting ALL possible targets from source at once instead of one at a time
- when more than one servo, clue or other token comes into play (like with heart of kiran), have all come out at once
- token generation and reinforcements, always only show the first (not first two, only the first one) and all others flash in
I cant think of other examples at the moment, but the important thing is extreme minimal animations. There are some cards that use the multi headed comet animation instead of several slow individual comet streaks one after another, so we know the game can do it. Those comet streaks, or any animation that forces you to wait and stare at the screen while it happens, should have their speed increased as well.
I too avoid playing with certain cards due to their slowness and think the entire player base would get a much better experience if ALL animations were condensed into the shortest time necessary and hit all possible targets at once.1
