Well, after getting jack from 3 naip premium booster packs , I was able to craft my final mythic from Origins, " Starfield of Nyx"
How you avoided me for so long! Whoohoo!

    Nice! I just managed to craft Hixus recently, too bad I can't use him for fear of freezes… Hopefully you have Sphinx's Decree, Settle the Wreckage, or some other fun supports to combo with your new Starfield!

    Hixus is pretty good and can be a life saver, but watch out as it will negate all other disabler cards like cast out when destroyed. I found out the hard way... Bahn with nyx works well with Omni(feel like I'm cheating with this combo), but it found a place in all my plain decks. Having a good time with it trying various supports with it.

    Starfield was my final Origins mythic as well. I suspected that it was weighted differently in the random number generator due to its impact on the game. I would not be mad at the developers if that was the case. That card is really cool to work around when you have the right tools in your deck but sometimes it catches you with your pants down and the only option is surrender.

    Now that we have Rebuke I fear Starfield no more. It's a fun card to play though!

    Starfield + Storm the Vault is also a lot of fun, just keep on bringing back the front side of storm for two treasures a turn! Works well with settle or defeat, since the opponent popping either of those on their turn means you get the removal back instead of the storm, then you get back on the storm train.

    or the Legion's Landing Train... just does't sound as good as storm train, though

    Sphinx's Decree will take care of that pesky RR =)

    Yep, but in the same set they released multiple non-spell support destruction options so they actually did their due diligence for once!

    Not to mention a PW with the ability to support destroy.

    Hence I always keep a loaded and ready to cast Nyx in hand when facing Vraska or constant support destroyers.

    @Aeroplane you’re a lucky man! Abuse Nyx well! ;)

    You guys are forgetting how unstable support removal is in MTGPQ. It is way too much luck-based when compared to creature removal, where you can often target the creature you want to destroy, exile or bounce.

    THAT is the real culprit allowing support strategies to go overboard and the reason why River's Rebuke has such a great success. If you could just target your opponent's Nyx it would no longer be such a powerful support. As a smart player, you know to keep your second Nyx in hand in case of destruction anyway, but at least it gives the opponent a chance to breath.  ;)

    Now regarding Sphinx's Decree, that card is stupid. No card in paper magic shuts down the opponent from casting such a large class of cards permanently (save for Narset's ultimate, which is not so easy to achieve to begin with). Funny how they put the shield-down mechanic on Curse of Predation but did not think to put it on Sphinx's Decree to limit "can't cast spells" to a number of turns (as it does in paper magic!). I would've actually found it more interesting if it had 3 shields, but always lost a shield at the end of its owner's turn (so that when it is popped it doesn't get immediately brought back by Nyx). That way it's still good especially if cast at the right moment, but not a game winner.

    Yeah, so as long as you run green one every node from now on you aren't at any risk... Well assuming you can actually hit the right support, considering SD decks usually run gobs of supports.

    I wonder how many people got their RTO ruined by SD this week?  I know at least 2 did from my coalition.
