Enter the Unknown not triggering Wildgrowth Walker

Casting Enter the Unknown on a creature, making it Explore 2 does not trigger Wildgrowth Walkers ability.
I have tried to cast it on WW with no effect, on another creature on board at the same time but no effect.
It works on Shadowed Caravel in all these instances when they are on the board at the same time though.
Other explore effects trigger WW properly.
