I'm issuing a challenge to build the scariest Karn deck your collection allows.

Pull out all of those broken card combos and make the magic happen!

I'll get us started -- I know I can make this even scarier -- open to suggestions!

No picture, but I tried out a fun one the other day.

    Creatures:

    Emrakul, Boomship

    Spells:

    HUF, Deploy, Season's Past

    Supports:

Lotus, Goggles, colorless gem converters (not important)

It should be noted my Karn is still in the low 30s in level, so I ran more colorless stuff than I otherwise would have

Karn level 16: (no colorless cards!) - full color wheel.
    Creatures:
    Startled awake, nettle drone

    Supports:
Anointed procession, path of discovery, part of waterveil, molten nursery

    Spells:
Rishars expertise,  hour of promise, behold the beyond, vigilance (can be switched to zendikar roll but I didn't want to abuse bugs).

Strategy: use 1St ability to  ensure full hand and cast rishars:)

I use his first to get Omni and Nyx out and then it just gets insane. It hasn’t gone more than 4 turns

Needs Decimator of the Provinces in there. Skysovereign isn't really worth its cost in comparison. Samut, Voice of Dissent could be an alternative for Gaea's Revenge. 2 less damage by itself but benefits twice as much from Decimator and grants Haste to all your creatures. And the activate ability is nice if the opponent survives to the next round.

As for the rest of the deck, I don't have any experience playing Karn so I can't comment lol.

@span_argoman I don't have Samut, but the piggy switch seems good. I'll try it.

I don't have Heart of Kiran but Emrakul is a solid choice for 3rd creature as well. In my Dovin Omni deck I switched Approach out for Piggy and it is a way faster win. So that was a good suggestion.

I wonder if Flood of Recollection has a spot in this deck.

not sure if the nyx is needed. may replace with that support which gives haste.

I'm waiting on someone to post a killer deck standard for karn or mono standard.

Since my Karn is still struggling on the levels, I've found my best luck still using all colorless spells. Really wish I had Ulamog since he seems an ideal target to try to use the ingest mechanic. Mine currently has:

    Bane of Bala Ged
    Eldrazi Devastator
    Ulamog's Despoiler
    Blight Herder
    Gilded Lotus
    Pyramid of the Pantheon
    Vanquisher's Banner
    Slayer's Plate
    Scour from Existence
    Grip of Desolation

Also I agree with some of the earlier posts for you. I would suggest Decimator for your deck instead of Heart of Kiran, or Emrakul maybe.

@bken1234 pig and desolation twins are the worst two creatures to have in a deck when you’re playing HUF/Deploy. It’s a one-turn kill without a doubt.

Worst or best?  Am I missing something?

Depends if you are the receiver or giver... Worst to receive. Best to abuse. 😉

@Froggy Deso Twins and Olivia are the staple of my speed Nahiri.

Olivia chews up to many cards though  Hard to keep a loop going with her.

For better looping, replace Gilded Lotus with Harness the Storm. Make sure you leave in Boomship though (or use something else that does damage on play or damage on a spell or support getting cast), otherwise you can potentially hit an infinite loop that won't actually kill them.

It's also worth noting that your deck is vulnerable to Starfield/Settle the Wreckage (or Starfield/Hixus) locks. (Honestly, without any way to interact with their side of the board at all, it's probably vulnerable to other stuff besides, but Starfield lock is the one that jumps out at me.) For that reason I'd be inclined to drop Gaea's Revenge, much as I love the card, and run Manglehorn instead. GR's big advantages are Hexproof and huge size, but with HUF->Deploy you can drop so many creatures so quickly neither of those things matters that much...but it will matter if they disable or wipe your entire board with the right support that you can't touch.

@Stormcrow I know what you're saying, but being someone who's used omni loop decks for so long and tweaked them to max optimization  it's rare that you even need to interact with their side of the board at all. Actually, anything that depends on what they do is pretty much a waste of effort. If anything  Starfield can be replaced with River's Rebuke. There are a couple of other tweaks that can be made. Experiment with Baral or Pieces of the Puzzle.
