2* --> 3* question

What is the preferred 3* to add to Thor/OBW? Mag would be my first option, but I still don't have a blue cover, and I suspect he'll be nerfed by the time I'd get him leveled. Is Pun a good option, or are his red and green too much of a conflct with Thor's? Any suggestions?

    I think it's a pretty easy punpun. Thor's red was never that great anyways, and once you get into 3* territory, the damage on his green becomes much less relevant. Punisher's green synergizes well with OBW, and gives you an active black ability to complete the rainbow. In the 2->3* transition, Thor becomes more or less delegated to using his yellow, and that's fine.

    Judging by the fact that I see 10,000 Punisher/OBW teams every PvP .... that seems to be the way to go.

    Excellent, thanks. Can you just explain a bit what you meant by the green/obw synergy? Did you just mean color-wise, or were you referencing how the abilities might work together?

    When OBW has cover 4/5 on her black, she gets additional damage when you make a black match. When you have strike tiles down (punisher's green), that additional damage also gets inflated.

    Having punisher on the team makes sure the AI always goes for black matches.

    Doesn't the match have to be hers to get her bonus? If you've got Pun, black matches are his, no?

    I forgot she gets that additional match damage on purple and blue also.

    Also, it takes awhile to level up Punisher and his black doesn't overtake hers until he's at a certain higher level.

    I don't use either of them, but face them quite often.

    Thor/OBW/xxx
    Thor/ OBW / Punisher
    CMag/OBW/Punisher
    Cmag/Punisher/any 3-star

    OBW covering purple/blue is enough for espionage to remain pretty effective still. Purple is a high priority color anyways with OBW since 2 matches = recon.

    Wanted to bump this to ask for further advice. From the following 5, which would be the best 3-team, and which would be the best 2-team to pair with an unleveled event character:

    Pun, OBW, LD, Falcon, Sentry

    Apparently Daken, Falcon, Sentry team is balls to the walls op. Match couple of green tiles to get strike tiles out and then use Sentrys World Rupture to deal insane damage to enemy team. And World Rupture costs just 7 ap. Falcon is there just for the synergy (even more powerful strike tiles). So if you have lots of spare cash I would invest in Daken and Sentry. Falcon is nice 3rd wheel but as you said not always available.

    Is there any way that Pun and Sentry could/should coexist? Ideally, probably not, but I ask because Pun is my only 141 at this point.
