Does that also apply to a character that has this support equipped?

Friendly Power means that a Power used from a member of your Team. And a member of your Team is the equiped character too :-)

Otherwies  they had written "the supported
character" or "the equiped character" or " If an Others Power is used"

Not Sure but thats my interpretation of this.
