Supports Question - leveling up

firstly apologies if this has already been asked or covered elsewhere, I’m posting as I cannot find it.

Question - when you get a new tier support does any R iso invested into the lower tier one get carried over. 

Example : you’ve popped 10k R iso into a lvl 2 support, and then find a lvl 4 one, does the 10k move to this or do you start at rank 0 again and the 10k is lost?

i want to level up my supports but I don’t want to waste R iso since it’s so scarce right now
