After a very very long match, I finally beat Azor (all 3 objectives too!), but I spent much of that time frustrated and confused because I couldn't identify where effects were coming from.

His boss abilities seem clear: Gain mana and draw 2 cards, Bring last support from GY to hand, Exile opponent's creature.

Things he kept doing that I couldn't understand how.

Copying my supports. I'd play a support, and then it would get copied under his control . . . how? Where? This happened on an empty board for him. No creatures, no supports, and it would just happen.

Making my creatures unable to attack. This seemed random too, every few turns, they'd just get red X's over them for a turn, nothing stated any effect like this. I *repeatedly* scoured the board looking for a support that did this, nothing. Same for his creatures, nothing. Lots of Paladin of Atonement and Ring Warden Out and the flying pirate, and Azor the Lightbringer a few times. None of these have any of these effects.

Disabling all spells in my hand for a turn WITHOUT Azor the Lightbringer on board. I know this creature has that effect.

Disabling my loyalty abilities WITHOUT Immortal Sun on board! Okay, it was rough enough when it was on board since I'm running creatureless J3 that relies on loyalty abilities 2 and 3 for beats.

The only thing I can think is that I was running River's Rebuke and my loyalty abilities were disabled for almost 15 turns at one point because I bounced Immortal Sun and they just never worked until he recast it and then I destroyed it via gem matches over a number of turns. Then they worked again, but because of all the other weird effects, I'm not actually sure if it's a bug or he just has a bunch of hidden abilities.

They are not hidden. If you tap the 'i' at top right corner to get info about the event, you will see see abilites there.
They rotate between disabling creature attacks, casting spells and casting supports.

You just blew my mind. Woah, even Across Ixalan has stuff — and I play that every day! "Your creature explores during your turn!!! now I need to make an explore deck next time I play it.

Damn, I didn't realize "rules" meant abilities, I just thought it meant certain sets and stuff like "must be in a coalition" so I just never bothered.

    Well then, thank you.

Your abilities still getting blocked when you bounce Immortal Sun would definitely be a bug, and whatever you meant by copying supports doesn't sound like the three rotating rules. You might want to post about that if it wasn't some confusion about something meant to happen. The River's Rebuke bug has been posted, you could add to that as well.

I just noticed the same thing. I finally destroyed Azor's 9-shield Immortal Sun and I still couldn't cast Loyalty abilties for the rest of the match.
