Why I quit (feedback thread!)

I've enjoyed MPQ for the last couple of months, but then something came along which killed it for me.

The need to be an alliance to make any meaningful progress.

You see, before, I could join any pvp or pve I wanted. If I was busy that week, I could say, "Next week then." And it was good.

When you removed the ability for a single player person to get all three cover rewards, I was a bit dissapointed. However, I thought, o.k., I'll join a nice alliance then. And I did. It was good for a few weeks. But I found I HAD to do almost every pvp and pve!

When life got busy last week, I found I didn't have the time to put in. My guild was good, and good guilds want you to participate so everyone can get that third cover. It just makes sense. But I realized I wouldn't be able to put in the time for every pvp and pve, so I said, "Looks like I've reached the end of the fun."

Maybe you're making a ton of money off of alliances, so its all good. But my advice is to allow the single player to earn the bare minimum of the third cover. Give the alliances bonuses! Give them a fourth cover, I don't care. But taking away the ability to make any meaningful progress solo, and the need to be in an alliance, has killed the game for me.

    Just an FYI, but the devs said they plan on rotating covers as prizes, so the non-alliance players will have a shot at all the covers. They will just have to be more patient.

    That is good to hear. However, I think because I was used to being able to receive the full 3 colors on my own, it now feels like I would be working the same amount, and getting less. That kind of kills it for me personally. New players probably don't feel that way, and that's o.k.

    I made a similar topic earlier, but instead of some answer it became a friendly conversation of a dev & another player with a hint, that they don't even answer such stupid questions.

    That's good to know, except with the changes to PvP bracketing, and scaling-from-hell in PvE, "having a shot" is purely theoretical for some people.

    As far as we can tell it's not longer just based on time of joining the event. Instead you are sorted into brackets either based off MMR or previous placings or possibly voodoo...

    Basically people are seeing much more stacked brackets than before and when people joined pvp at the same time on 2 accounts they ended in different brackets. Also there are brackets where 1k is outside top 10 and others where <700 places first.

    When will we see that? In 3-6 months? (rhetorical) By then, I'll probably have given up on this game since I'm already on my way out.

    Have you seen Black Panthers black covers as anything lower than a Top 10 or Top alliance reward? How about 3* Magneto Purple covers? Falcon yellow? Lazy Thor Yellow? Lazy Cap Yellow?

    Devs dont care why people quit, as long as they got some money out of you that is all that matters and if you dont plan on spending again they need to ship you out and make room for the next mug. If you are a free player they are happy to get rid of the dead weight that is consuming their bandwith and clogging their server

    They have already started doing this. Falcon has been given out 3 times. I'm sitting on a 3/3/2 AnimationBird from missing the top 10 on the DOOOOOOOM PVP where his purple was the 1-10 prize, but they certainly are rotating them now. I know we harp on the devs for a lot of stuff (and often rightly so), but this is one they said they'd fix, and they seem to have made a start. I'd figure if they're being fair about it, yellow would show up in the 3* (but not top) reward the next time out. I'd also make an argument that with Simulator giving it to top 50, that was pretty achievable.
