  • illmatic is dead. Long live illmatic.
  • How do you "give away" your MPQ account? Isn't it tied to a 3rd party service like Facebook or Steam for saving/syncing? Unless you created a new profile for one of those 3rd party service specifically for MPQ?

Some people do this, then they can add random facebook friend with no repercussion.

This is just an assumption of how I think it would work...

Facebook -- Original user (one giving away account) would change password to something easy "123456" and give the new person the email and password. The new player opens MPQ and links to FB using the persons ID and PW. Once done, the original user just changes his PW back to whatever it was before. The account is now linked to the new persons device.

Steam -- From what I have read on the Forums, the Steam game doesn't sync to their servers, it leaves everything in a folder on your computer. So you could in essence, just find that folder, create a zip file and email it to the person. The new person then unzips said file and then deletes his file and replaces it with the new one.

In both cases, the new user would lose all of his/her data and user name and essentially become the other person for purpose of the game.

Edit: I really wish the forum had spell check. LOL.

    I don't understand what you mean. . . icon_question.gif
  • I was using a disposable facebook account linked to a disposable email address, I gave the password to the guy who wanted my account.
