Finally think I am getting the game down and then...nothing

Hello everyone.

I have been playing for a bit now, but finally getting to the point where I have stalled out. I have no Iso and only 200 HP, I made a ton of mistakes so far like buying Hawkeye and BW at the start with the 100 HP, spending nearly 20,000 Iso on bag man(who I sold later for a space), 20,000 Iso on standard token chances, and many many wasted boosts. I would like to think I am getting better, but now I can not seem to even stay in the top 100 of the pvp competitions. I have been running thor and daken until this week and now am trying to get iso to finish Ares and use him with oBW. I have been trying to keep everyone up to max level, but I am struggling now to finish patch for the event and still have Ares behind. Any tips/suggestions? I have been reading most of the posts here and don't think I really have any other teams I can use. I was thinking of leveling Modern hawkeye to 85, but he seems like he is either great or really bad depending on luck.

Side note, I have no empty slots and have Loki coming up soon. Should I dump a 2*(likely moonstone) or a maxed 1*?

moonstone is a good call, don't sell maxed one stars, you can use them in the lonestar tourneys

Despite your early mistakes (common ones, btw, don't beat yourself up) you have a solid roster of 2* characters. You are at the beginning of the 2* ---> 3* transition, and that road can unfortunately be a long one. Do not lose heart. There are a couple of things you can do to speed this up.

1) $$$ - spending some money to get over that initial hump will speed up the transition the quickest. If you have at least 1 of each color on a three star guy you can buy HP to cover-max that character. With your roster I would suggest Punisher, Hood, and Classic Magneto - you're only one Magneto cover short from being able to do this. That'd be a solid team to take you to the next level.

2) Join a 20 man alliance - If you are a daily addict who can pull down a decent amount of points in both PvP and PvE there is probably a decent alliance out there with space for a guy with a roster like yours that can consistently place in the top 100 alliances and get you 3* covers.

3) Chase tokens. Grab every token you can get your hands on, even standard tokens. There are 2 early progression standard tokens in every lightning round. They are common as PvE prizes. They are everywhere! It seems like they offer nothing but garbage most of the time, but you never know. Get enough standard tokens and eventually 3* characters will start to show up. There are 2* or better tokens at 300 points in every PvP tournament. There are Hero tokens all over - I pulled a 4* Invisible Woman just last night off of a Heroic I got from the Heroic Osborn PvE event. Volumes of tokens CAN help.

Last thing: you are not falling off, things are more competitive right now because of Season 1. That is why you are struggling to place higher than you once were. Keep at it, keep chipping away. You WILL get over the hump.
