Thanks for rto, but why tos?

I want to join the chorus of thanks for the shortened version of rto, which is now playable.
For the same reason I'd like to know why you chose to run tos as a three day event starting with 5 charges. This choice is going the opposite direction. Why throwing us long events when every time we, almost unanimously, complain about them?

A three day coalition event on the weekend has been part for the course since coalition events were invented for the game. And Im totally ok with them. Also, they thankfully end before the start of the next week's event.0

It started with 4 charges - 3 would have been better IMO.
I agree that it is a day too long, but I want to point out that the secondailry on the white node finally fits!

Yes, drop one charge and a day and this is a fine event.0

I don't mind how long it lasts, but that was a really tedious amount of battles to start with. If they want more battles, I'd prefer starting with 2-3 charges and lowering the recharge time to six hours (leaving the max charges at 7, or 6 at the lowest with 2 initial charges).

I think that might mess with the high score amount. You would actually have to wait to let a node charge to get the max amount of points per node in the event. They would in turn have to lower the amount of max charges.

I just want to know why they persist in making us use a planeswalker and then designing objectives that essentially forbid you from taking advantage of the planeswalker's strengths.
L3 has one niche, and they're like, nope, don't use it. Wow, way to market your planeswalkers there.

What about the old proposal of giving all charges at the start of the event, fix a reasonable duration and let the players decide how to schedule the battles?
30 battles per event seems a good number to me as a general rule1 -
I’m just sick of required PW events. Newer players need to prioritize to be competitive and L3 definitely doesn’t give anyone a competitive edge.
Casual players can choose not to get the required PW and play with 2 nodes but have to play much more often and be nearly perfect to get progression (I did this with my alt in a recent event).
And overall — it’s just not cool to force someone to buy something they may not want to be competitive in an event.
I think it’s time to say goodbye to these type events all together.
I would love to see a featured PW event with a pre-built deck. Those who buy the PW can use the cards in the deck, substituting with their own cards. Those who don’t buy it have to use the provided deck. I could get behind that.4 -

Here's what I would like to see from the "special PVPs":
- Reduce the # days to 2 (start on Friday evening like now, last charge on Sunday evening, event ends Monday morning (14 hours after the last charge). Truly a weekend event.
- The first time such an event runs, one node is locked up with a Level 60 Planeswalker that is not available to anyone yet (not even to buy for $$$). It is locked into its Master deck. On that node, you encounter decks from the other nodes (but not the mirror). Objectives should match the planeswalker's strengths and encourage you to use its abilities. On the other nodes, you don't encounter this deck. This way, you are advertising the awesomeness of the planeswalker so that people can consider buying it, but are not forced to to compete. Perhaps there's even something similar to training where you can win some of the cards from that deck in the event (maybe not the mythics though!).
- On further runs of the event, the node is open to any planeswalker and deck, but the objectives remain. That way, people who bought that PW can feel good about leveraging it in that node and gain an advantage, but others aren't forced to.2 -

I've noticed that almost none of the included decks (since before Oktagon even) are just random cards and not actually working decks. This would definitely need to be fixed. (And it's so frustrating since we are stuck with those slots)0 -
It’s the horrible objectives on the required pw node on this one that ruins it. Totally inconsistent with the pw’s abilities. Makes it affirmatively unfun and grindy.

Kudos for thinking of ways to improve it, but considering the state of the master decks--often not competitive--I worry about how many losses this would cause. After all, in the Saheeli event they had a "locked deck" that completely couldn't handle one of the biggest meta threats at the time. It upset a lot of people to be unable to adjust the deck and essentially being handed an auto-loss.
