4 Gamora deadly strike not targeting correct character [Investigating]

i have done this a few times now, in mission hand in hand, I use gamora a deadly strike on a goon, switch goons the attack. The countdown tile then damages who is in front. Not the person that it was initially used on.

    This is a known issue. Her red does that on Wave missions. The Devs still haven't been able to track down exactly what's causing it, but they are trying to find out.
