Anybody know how to lower mmr?

Tanking the recent LR's did nothing to my oppenents levels like it normally would have. Seems like a lot of others have been experiencing the same. I am seeing a lot of 141's and my strongest character is at 118. And even more so, I have under 500 points in this pvp, so it's not like I am worth a ton of points. Definitely shouldn't be seeing levels that high. Anybody have any good strategies?

  • I'm not sure there's really a way to lower it anymore. With whatever tweaks they've done lately all I see in pvp now is maxed 2* teams. From the start. And I'm starting to see ones with a 3* at 100-115. This is all going from 0-300 points. I tried to tank a couple lightning rounds... didn't really get hit much.

It's been suggested that retreat tanking no longer works.

I'm also thinking that only similarly leveled opponents will see you now. So while losses may lower your MMR, it's awfully difficult to get them without just sending in your team to die by playing poorly.

Yeah, these changes are horrible. Seems like your mmr can only go up. I'm sure that isn't the case, but it sure seems like it.
  • I don't think there is an MMR anymore. It seems to me you see people with similar teams (with regards to levels) to you.

Wonder if it's possible to put in a low level team, rack up active retaliations against similar low-level teams and then bring out your main team...
Could be an exploit waiting to happen unless the devs took precaution to cover all the angles this time. (Which, given their track record, they probably haven't.)

In the last series of LR, I reached 250, 100 or just 25 points and then put up my weakest characters with retreating/losing a game. I entered as soon as events started. Only good amount of retaliations I got was when I reached 250 points and they weren't much. Even after that I think I raised my MMR in the end instead. When I didn't reach at least 100 points, there were hardly any retaliations.

How would that work when you get 141s from the start?
Low level people won't even see your team.
