Why are we still receiving HoD rares as coalition event rewards?

    Yes! Especially, since the RNG gives us the same rares again and again. Now, I don't believe it's a coincidence that I'm still missing two HoD rares but I have 6 Accursed Hordes and 7 Magmaroths, most of them as event rewards. 

    So, please give us XLN rares! Or HoD mythics.

    Same for boosters, btw.

    Yes, please -- we've had 6 months of HOU cards, update coalition events to give us something NEW!!

    @khurram they had moved to the next set rewards for older events before.

    Revolt against the Consulate is a Kaladesh event but it gives out Amonkhet boosters.

    Maybe they are awaiting until one month after ixalan  release considering they seem to await lowering HOU crafting prices for the same reason. But it also might have nothing to do with this ...

    Ah how soon we all forget. 

    Remember when HOU first got released? Of course not. Well when it did the monthly rewards didn't change and were still giving out AKH packs. I remember very well some complaining on here about that very subject and I suggested that the following month we'll probably get HOU packs. I of course was met with rudeness and cynicism. 

    Remember when booster crafting released? Seriously?! Come on it was like a month and a half ago! Anyway. When booster crafting was released they mentioned we get an increase in orbs from the newest set for the first month. Well that would probably be a good reason why we aren't getting them in monthly rewards, or getting a tinykitty-load of them from events. Or maybe they're already working hard on getting Rivals of Ixalan developed and changing events isn't a top priority.

    I got my first Ixalan rare in a tinykitty pack today guys.  Woooo!!

    I'd rather all events gave rewards for their block still because there are older sets that are now incredibly hard to gets things from.

    The length of time and amount of Hours boosters we have won has totally totally skewed things, but I don't want that to become the standard.

    Most rewards, through both progression and winning, have a mix of boosters and rares, there needs to be at least one booster for the set the event is from in every event. Preferably a rare too, but a booster will do. Extra rewards, especially the placing ones can be from the latest set, but that is separate.

    There are older sets that aren't rewarded for anything and this needs to be fixed, maybe just tweak the rewards for the event in their block so it gives a booster of each set in the block at different points, with the one that hasn't been available given out first.


    We should be getting more of the current set just because those events are run more _NOT_ by messing up the rewards for the older sets.

    I totally totally understand "I don't want more Hours right now!" but in terms of long term planning it's bad to change everything to Ix. (With hours it actually became fairly painful to get Amonkhet even which it shouldn't have.)

    It's also not a coalition event anymore and has had it's structure reworked.

    It seems the unfortunate answer might be "because guaranteed XLN rares will only come in packs, not as direct event rewards". :(

    With the many bad rares, with many of the playable ones bugging ... That would be the killing blow if you ask me ...

    Yeah, but the packs are only going to give you more buggy and underpowered commons and uncommons by that logic...  A guaranteed rare is still worth a lot more than a pack...

    That's what i meant actually ( maybe that wasnt obvious though o:) ), being forced to pay a premium pack to get a guaranteed buggy rare would be the killing blow ... Event rewards are at least free of cost.
