Traumatic compass/ spires transform

I had the compass transformed to spires of oraza and opponents creature was at 0 power, then they used nissa 1s 2nd ability and it gave the creature 7 power, I had assumed this was supposed to work like floodwaters and keep it at 0, I lost some points on a dmg objective from this one
